I was mulling over this thread and wondering how pro-Israel Irish people could label "anti-Jewish" and "antisemitic" and "anti-zionist" all over this thread with any sense of reality, proof or justification. I mean, Irish people in general have never in our history had any reason to be anti-Jewish. There have never been many Jews in Ireland to my knowledge. They are largely an irrelevance. The only one I know is Alan Shatter. It didn't make sense. And I found their repeated anti-Jewish posts ludicrous and quite weird. I was even called racist and far right yesterday. All these labels when Israel were clearly out of line.
Then the penny dropped. It's not that people calling for Israel to stop committing war crimes, genocide etc are anti-Jewish - it's the complete opposite. It's projection by the pro-Israelis. It's ying and yang. To explain, it's logical for any right thinking Irish person to want an end to innocent civilian death and suffering. Especially for women and children. So the answer must be that pro-Israel folks are actually anti-Palestinian. And I wondered how that could be. Why? I see all religions as complete nonsense so it took me a while to figure it out. People are anti-Palestinian because they are muslims. That must be it. Simple as that. I probably take things at face value too much so I missed it. And I don't spend time in those muslim terrorist threads because they are all the same but there are people on Boards who absolutely detest and distrust muslims. Now I understand why many Irish people are pro-Israel despite their horrific atrocities. Israel can do no wrong because the victims are muslims. It makes it a little easier to debate.

If the peacekeepers do respond , Israel could hit them harder, the peacekeepers are probably greatly outgunned. Unfortunately probably need something to be enacted at the security council which the US will block.
A while back, there were posts here asking what UNIFIL troops were doing to protect Israel from Hezbollah. I find it odd that there are no corresponding posts now on what Israel is doing to protect UNIFIL troops from the IDF.
I guess they can't create another Gaza in south Lebanon with the UN troops being there.

I loved how the UN rowed back yesterday on their accusations of Israel hitting Irish posts. After accusing Israel on Friday, they were saying quiet categorically that they didn't know who fired at the outposts and would need to study the trajectory of the shots to be certain. Talk about an about face.

Do you also love that the Israelis are attacking UN outposts? We have troops there so im not sure how you can support Israel's actions with regard to UN outposts. Perhaps you are not Irish, or you just dont care about Irish troops when they are being attacked?
