Sources I have read suggest the ratio is around 8:1.

Yes,Bibi has stated it clearly many times that a two state solution will not happen on his watch. Which is why he was happy to try and manage Hamas till it blew up in his face. With Hamas in power he could always point and say that you can't come to accommodation with people hell bent on your destruction. So Bibi's mentality exposes the argument that all the Palestinian armed groups have to do is embrace peace and lay down their arms- this would in fact be the stuff of nightmares for Bibi and Co. This is why he boasted to colleagues that it was important to keep Hamas sweet to undermine the PA and stave off negotiations on a two state solution.

Like I said a few pages back, don't underestimate the sheer scale of israeli attempts to influence people to support israel. There isn't any group they wont make a pitch to.
You would naturally assume people opposed to mass migration and the damage it does to indigenous peoples would naturally sympathise with the indigenous Palestinians who've been overwhelmed by hostile settlers who've built israel over the graves and ruins of the Palestinians. You would think so. But there is a pitch for israel even there.
One complaint people against mass migration can have is the sheer powerlessness of their own governments. People simply walk, boat or fly across borders which are seemingly undefended. A very common theme is the host country being exploited, taken advantage of, of being weak and being seen to be weak.
These people can be offered the chance to live vicariously through israeli "strength", a state which does not only defend its own borders with lethal force, but pushes out past them to drive back any threats. And it does so with clear cut calls to arms, not defeated shrugging that nothing can be done. There will be a market segment which finds this appealing and wish their own country could learn from how israel does things. They will never get that of course, but in the meantime they can support israel. Worshippers of power, basically. And don't think the brutality of israeli actions will ever be a problem for this pitch - if anything it will help sell the message. Look at ISIS recruitment: they were deliberately cruel and savage, and it attracted people to it because of the cruelty and savagery, not despite it.
It's telling how often you'll see people gloating about israeli strikes and atrocities.
I distinctly remember an IDF spokesman saying that half of the people killed in Gaza were Hamas. He was challenged on it by a BBC reporter because of the number of children and elderly killed but he kept saying 50%. He was impossible to believe.

The only way it is correct (and that's with the IDF actually accepting Hamas civilian figures) is if the IDF designates all adult males as Hamas.

Well, for context Yanai was at a dance festival being held within walking distance of the worlds largest open air prison camp.
One other point I'd make is for all the accusations of mass rape by the Palestinians, Yanai seemingly wasn't raped, nor did she mention anyone else being raped. She was treated cruelly of course, but it could have been worse - she could have been a Palestinian held by the israelis. They definitely rape their hostages.

Military targets appear "low value" so leadership seems to be very much on the table on the basis of simple elimination.
