So the balls-up has started since last night which makes Fairview from clontarf to Edges corner a single lane with bollards down the centre.
This will be a permanent feature and works will take 21 months.
All sections still unfinished. Not sure what the problem is but barriers still in place along loads of the cycle path. Also, the queue to veer right at Edge’s Corner still as long as ever. I think most people don’t know the right lane is open to all traffic.
Any update for here? I live abroad but am from the area, surely this must be finished by now?
Yeah. I never went there myself but some friends said much the same thing. One even went twice just in case the first time was one bad night but had the same experience and so never went back. A pity because it's a lovely location and could be a real goldmine if it was run properly.
I'd say it probably went under due to below par service and offering. It is actually quite strange to hear a place get negative feedback nowadays but I know many people who were one and done with The Baths. Myself and the wife visited and it was terrible. Food seemed frozen, asked for milk for coffee and it was sour, staff were all over the shop.
The ones parked there are for the solicitors office, I believe.
That "soon" was written in May. May 2023.
I don't see it this side of Christmas, they have other things to focus on (the Dion in the old Central Bank).
Ha yeah noticed it already today.
Are cars allowed park up there? Always cars parked where the one pictured is.
^^^ Those will also serve to block car parking
Six gone in outside Gaffneys today, three more outside the estate agent a few doors down
Nolaclan bought it, mentioned here to be open soon…

Speaking of the Baths. That mattress wanker dumps cars outside it all the time too.
Thanks. Such a shame. The place was beautiful but the food was never great.
The owners, Press Up, are currently trying to sort out a huge debt mountain while keeping as many of the businesses they operate running. Nothing going to happen with the restaurant in the short term unless someone comes along and buys it of them.
I think the baths themselves are open but the cafe restaurant is closed for now.
It’s a little further afield but does anyone know what is happening with The Baths? Would be a shame if it fell into dereliction again.
there was a semi-burnt out van belonging to someone with a large garden and driveway near my house in edenmore before i moved for months. eventually i got the council to do something and he moved it into his garden. not a good look when the first thing you see is a smashed up ford transit with burn damage upon entering the estate, but people seem to think it's ok to leave it out on the road for months.
I report vehicles often enough, but it's not acted on enough.
I love people who don’t just talk about it but do it. Well done!
I thought it was owned by a garage that is in the laneway on the Fairview side?
That's the place. I wonder who owns the land.
Anyone know when the new lights in Fairview park along the path by the river + under the DART bridge will be switched on? Ran the route coming back from the new greenway in East point last night and it felt slightly dodgy.
Yes. Strange as it may seem. Both sides of the bridge, inside the footpath, are private property.
I presume he means here, where his cars and other cars are often dumped. this is private property?

That's on private property. DCC can't touch it.
He has another van, which definitely looks abandoned, but still advertising on the Clontarf side of the Arch bridge. Its tucked in under the bushes. Give that one a report as well.
Still there!
Clearly I have too much time on my hands but you can report it as an abandoned vehicle
If anyone else feels like doing so, voila

I don't know what their circumstances were, but anyone on that corridor should be pushed towards using public transport or bikes.
I do wonder out of all the people who claim they NEED to drive to work, how many of them are being honest? No doubt there are people who do genuinely need it, but at the same token there are plenty of people who just don't want the "inconvenience" of not using their car.
Or the workmen carrying out the roadworks. 🙄
People who still want to deal exclusively in cash I guess. Surprised there are enough of them to keep a business afloat though.
Staff! Same as most of the on-street parking outside businesses around the country - it is more often taken by staff, not customers.
