I believe around Tel Aviv, there is the "iron dome" air defense system among others - which seems to do the job perfectly and intercepts almost everything…….If this is the case, why do Hamas bother firing expensive missiles and rockets at Tel Aviv if they are more than likely going to get intercepted?

The western media has done a bang up job convincing people like you that 'Israel has a right to defend themselves' by repeatedly and blatantly committing international war crimes, meanwhile the actual fact of the matter is that the Palestinian people are the ones with international law on their side. They are the ones being occupied. They have the right to fight the occupational force, in this case Israel.
This has been a war long before Oct 7th. Oct 7th is only notable because the Palestinians were able to strike back. In the grand scheme of things it was just a blip. It was weaponized by the extremely powerful Israeli propaganda machine to paint Israel as the victim and the Palestinians as barbaric animals not worthy of sympathy. When, in fact the Israelis have been the class (region) bully all along. As soon as someone they've been picking on (for 75 years) fights back they cry to the teacher.
Everything they were claiming the Palestinians were doing has been disproved or there is no evidence to substantiate. However we've seen mountains of video evidence of Israel committing the same and far worse.
Over 140,000 people dead in Gaza. Roughly 10% of the population. This is clear, unadulterated genocide. There is no excuse. Israel must be stopped. The weapons to Israel must be stopped.
We know the limit of escalation this could reach and it will destroy the world as we know it. The USA is only enabling this. The very worst part of all this is that the US is doing it all for oil, power and profit. No care for anything else. Constantly breaking their own rules and laws when it suits them.

The rockets are really primitive. They're made out of pipes and fuelled with sugar and fertilizer. I saw an article about Iron Dome that put the cost of the Hamas rockets at €600 (or was it $600?) each but when it's made out of scavenged material it would be hard to place a cost on one.

There is a documentary out there on the Oct 7th attack with footage of the barbarity carried out if you have the stomach to watch what hams did. Jews have been in Israel for thousands of years. Longer than Islam has been a religion.
It would make perfect sense if you didn't want blacks outbreeding the good white zionists. Save their lives but don't let them take over. As has been pointed out before this story has never been debunked by credible impartial sources - it still stands as true.
Israel being too readily accepting of civilian casualties in their attempt to wipe out Hamas/Hezbollah isn't the same as Israel fostering a plan to systematically exterminate entire races of people numbering in the millions.
I think the Nazi's murdered around 10 million people as it was in around 3 and a half years before military defeat put an end to it. In some periods in 1944 in particular they were murdering like 15-20 thousand people per day.
By all means argue that Israel is committing war crimes, doesn't care about Palestinian lives, is using radically excessive force, doesn't want peace, et al.
But saying they're just like Nazi Germany is extreme hyperbole and it's also just not true.
Certainly, there is footage of that one day on October 7th that is probably very gruesome (I've not watched it).
There is also footage of the barbarity carried out by Israel in Gaza - for each of the 365 days following October 7th.

You are aware that's not how the ICJ operates right? That they don't rule on current "conflicts" until well after the fact. I mean the fact that they are investigating the case SA brought before them means that they believe a genocide is plausibly being committed. So we'll just leave that there.
In any case that put aside, the ruling of the ICJ shouldn't really play a part in it, that will come out in due course if its allowed to run its course without the Israeli's and their allies threatening those investigating it. I mean all being transparent they'd have nothing to hide right?

To name but a few. Even at that you don't need to look far to find multiple members of the Knesset who've expressed genocidal intent. Which should actually qualify in itself as genocidal.
But by all means rely on a ruling which won't be given until the conflict is over and will most likely be blocked by Israel and its merry band of enablers in any case.
