XC60 starts at €73k. You'd want it to be fairly premium for that money alright 😀
Tbf you rarely see a volvo if ever in say tallaght. Yet they're strewn across South Dublin to tallaghts east. Yet all you see is VW and BMW across tallaght. I think this shows the price point volvo maintain whether one likes the interior or not. It's always been upmarket even look in the UK. I don't make the rules
The team in Dublin said that Polestar wants to be a Tesla competitor and that is why they are going with the buy online model. It actually works very well too. Everything was very clear with both automated and human communication coming from Polestar HQ.
Polestar is connected to Geely. Not so much the Volvo brand so I think that also needs to be considered. A lot will depend on if Spirit choose to grow the brand to other locations in Ireland or Polestar choose to team with other dealers outside of Dublin. Spirit are building a large Polestar showroom in Sandyford. It's going to be in the same location as the current shipping container they are using.
I drove Audi's for years and my wife told me I was a chav. She also told me never to come home with a BMW. 😂 I actually have a theory that BMW are purposely designing odd looking cars to detract the boy racers. The Burberry effect.
I work in Dublin 2 and everyone drives a Volvo or Range Rover. Even BOD and his wife.
Got an email there, Polestar 4 going on sale on 31st Jan. Curious to see one in real life.
Anyone happen to know what the cost of this is? Can't find it anywhere and tried setting up an account to find you need a car assigned to it first. Just trying to get an idea as looking at some 2nd hand ones, some near end of manufacturer warranty.
Try this link but maybe you have to be logged in. 12 used P2s available starting at 35k

For anyone interested I finally managed to get a quotation on the extended warranty for a Polestar 2
1yr - €399
2yrs - €799
3yrs - €1099
These are without the road side assistance
Who is that with and what are the mileage caps?
Supplied by Helvetia
Seems like reasonable value for peace of mind.
I agree, €1 per day for the 3 year one. Bargain in my view
The existing standard range models in stock for sale at 35k and zero interest seems like super bargains to me or am I missing something?!
New 2025 model pricing just out starting at €53,195.
That's a big price difference but obviously range far superior.
Planning my first long trip in the P2 this weekend, 300km down to the mammys in Kerry and then return the next day. So probably at least 200kms of motorway. Will I get down on a full charge in a 2023 lrsm? It has the heat pump but I've no idea what I need to do if anything to take advantage of it! Any help or tips welcome
Will do it with ease I'd imagine. Longest I've done is 275km up to Dublin airport and back to Kill on the way back to charge at 25%. That's a less efficient LRDM Performance with cruise set at 120 and everything on, no heat pump.
I have a standard range P2 and in my opinion 35k is a steal. Unfortunately nobody buys them hence why they are so cheap now. The battery is bigger than most "standard range" batteries available and the car itself is bulletproof with the best in-car software on the market. I'm raging in spend 52k on my car back in 131 but I'm hoping by the time it comes to change, I'll get a one year old P4 for good money.
I've done Gorey to Kilkenny city, to Dublin to Gorey and back with a quick 10min charge in Kildare. That's with the smaller battery.
I'm interested in this car. Did you buy new? What would you say are the single best and worst things about it?
I see very few on the road
Can you point me to those cars? Can't see them anywhere.
The highlight is definitely the Google-based infotainment system. It’s seamless, user-friendly, and eliminates the hassle of connecting your phone for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
On the downside, the back seats are somewhat cramped, and the floor hump doesn’t help. While it’s slightly larger than a Golf, the rear space isn’t significantly more spacious.
They are not available yet, but Polestar appears to be launching these at the same price the P2 was 6 months ago before they dropped the price of the pre-facelift models. I'd 100% buy a pre-facelift. Visually the old one has a nicer front grille and nothing else has changed visually. The new car is RWD and more powerful but honestly, the current car is perfect for 20k less if you get a pre registered 241.
It's the pre-facelift models for €35k I'm interested in. I can't see them on their website.
They have a few on carzone. Anything listed under Spirit Motors is Polestar Dublin.
Used 2024 (241) Polestar 2 Standard Range Single Motor 69kWh in Dublin (carzone.ie)
Used 2024 (241) Polestar 2 Polestar 2 231HP 69KWH*CALL JOHN 0861913954* in Dublin (carzone.ie)
Used 2024 (241) Polestar 2 Standard Range Single Motor (P4-S)69kWh in Dublin (carzone.ie)
They're an absolute steal if you ask me for a car that was 52k six months ago with no miles on the clock.
Still a decent haircut regardless.
Just do a search on Carzone and you will see a few 2024 models with little mileage for under €35k. This is in their webpage also...

Haven't looked into this but assume still available. I'm tempted!
Where did you see the price of the new model being €53,000?
Here . ..

When you consider that a 3 year old PS2 is worth about 22k to a dealer, you'd need a hefty deposit to jump into a new PS2 at 53k on PCP. Really they should be launching the facelift at 44k but they won't.
I bought a 2023 lrsm for €30k so it's a big jump to go to €55k for a 2024
Lot of them showing up now on Polestar and from Spirit Premium, still says 0% PCP available on site, but when you check for available cars, there aren't any.
Polestar don't want to advertise that they are just giving them away at the moment.
