It seems like a Jewish right wing are determined to start a Middle East war and WWIII . Israel is the equivalent of a Fascist state and it’s time to call them out as such .
Could you even make a basic effort to put whatever prejudice you want to spout into clear English?
Except the article is not anyone saying life is unbearable because Irish people are against what's happening in Gaza.
It's saying life is unbearable for some because they are being targeted simply for being Israeli even if they do not support their Governments approach.
You're basically endorsing this and previously you called someone who specifically is not in support a "genocide fanatic", and saying Ireland's better off without them!
And then you talk about self awareness!
You're scraping the bottom of the propaganda barrel there, buddy.
I think you've forgotten that we are not Americans. We actually read and understand History and Geopolitics. We can spot BS miles ( or kilometres) away.
" Ohhhh, Be Afraid of the Scary Islamists!!! Coming to take over our Mid-Western Evangelical Churches!!!. Let us Help our sons in Israel stand up to the Barbaric Hoard!!!""
Wrong audience, buddy.
I think he's pointing out that despite the fantasy in this thread, Iran doesn't have a secret, elite military hidden underneath the relatively decrepit one on the surface and a long range war with Israel would not go well for them.
Precisely.
Remember, the US is cautious about getting too involved for a very, very good reason and their Intel on Iran digs a lot deeper than we can imagine.
Iran has had decades to prepare for a war. Its EXPECTING to be attacked and even knows which sites will be hit.
Don't you think they have a Plan B? A Contingency Plan? You bet your life they do, and the US knows only too well what that could entail. Why do you think even the Saudis are cautious about an all out attack.
Iran is not Iraq or Syria. This is a whole other animal.
Jesus.
Nothing a few Aldi petrol generators can't fix. I wonder where they'll get their fuel? Oh yeah....!
Takes more than a few generators to power a city the size of Tehran.
LOL yeah, you do indeed have the wrong audience there, "buddy". 🤣
Do they really have a plan B though. Russia didn't after the 3 day plan for Ukraines defeat failed. Is Irans military just Russia military but without nukes and an air force. Without a boots on the ground war they can't even do meat attacks. That just leaves them with missiles, which will deplete very fast.
Yeah, pity we haven’t wasted billions on it, then we could have just marched into Israel and stopped the war.
Where are these magical F35s going to land exactly?
They won't land in Iran, it is what they drop.
There is no shortage of runways in Israel to land in or take off from, if that is what you mean
They were bombed to kill the people in there. Mostly children.
Do keep up.
The UN force there hasn't prevented Hezbollah rearming and setting up again after previous war
Why would they? That isn't there mandate.
They are mandated clearly to protect civilian lives.
The UN as usual are talking, they have the power to at least limit the civilian slaughter.
It's epic cowardice, it's only a matter of time before UN forces are either injured or killed.
I don't know if the regime collapses, but I do I think the US military can rapidly remove most of Iran's ability to wage such a war (i.e. fire off missiles and drones). Iran needs long range weapons to reach out and fight with Israel directly.
The US did destroy Iraq's military power twice, mostly from the air, even if they could not achieve what they wanted with the invasion.
I am not certain of the outcome, but think it is highly risky for Israel to start a war with Iran alone, just with US weapons supplies and aid for it and such, and not direct US military engagement on their side (most of your examples are not really that).
Raised concerns? Fair play to them.
How about put up road blocks and drive the regime out of Lebanon and prevent at least some of the slaughter.
What they are legally mandated to do.
the worry for iran's leadership is will the iranian people back them when they are bombed back into the stone age
There is no shortage of ballistic missiles in Iran either. Which will delete runways, fuel, hangars, arms dumps, barracks, etc, etc.
I know israelis have this view of war of being something where they slaughter civilians without cost, but Iran has more than 3,000 ballistic missiles which can land in israel 10-15 minutes after launch and which israel provably cannot intercept or counter.
Magical F35s aren't going to save israel in a long war.
Well it hasn't worked in Gaza, or Lebanon, but I guess Iran is third time lucky? If there is no rebel military force I can't see the Iran government being overthrown by a bombing campaign.
Well they were legally mandated to prevent Hezbollah from attacking Israel with rockets, but they didn't seem too pushed about that. So it would be a bit hard to claim this oft-vaunted neutrality of ours if they suddenly decided that the rockets were not too bad really, and that Israel, and Israel alone, had gone too far in trying to stop these rockets themselves.
It's a bold move, but slaughtering more children should definitely work this time.
If the last 100 years has taught us anything, its that the promise of airpower alone winning wars is delusional. And that when a people are attacked by foreigners, they rally around their leaders no matter what domestic arguments might exist.
Well they were legally mandated to prevent Hezbollah from attacking Israel with rockets
No they aren't.
You just made that up.
maybe israel should stick to the strategic assassinations instead so and put some money into the iranian people who want to remove the religious hardliners who run iran
Yes, I think this is Iran's real problem. My son has a friend (through internet, obviously, but they've been in contact for years now, initially over a shared Multiplayer game, so know each other well by now - I've even spoken to his mother a little!) and it's clear that Iranian youth are nothing like the image the Mullahs want to transmit. I would say it's shades of De Valera's "comely maidens dacing at crossroads" except that the disconnect with reality is of a higher order again.
He often puts photos online of himself and his friends hiking in the mountains - always mixed groups, not just young men. They're also deeply disillusioned with the regime, and with religion. He did his military service recently, in the police force (not his choice) and the conscripts were often kept inside on desk jobs because it was during all the disruption about headscarves, and it was felt by the higher-ups that conscripts could not be relied on to do the regime's bidding but would take the side of the young people and protesters.
So I really don't know how they would send thousands of them -maybe hundreds of thousands - to the abattoir for a war they don't believe in without risking regime collapse. It's not a replay of the Iran-Iraq war.
What are they meant to be doing there then, if not keeping the peace between the two sides?
The Iranian regime survived a near decade long war with Iraq. A bombing campaign from israel would have zero chance of damaging that regime. The Israelis have been bombing gaza for a year and caused unbeleivable suffering yet still Hamas remains.
Only the US could possible remove the regime and that would be through a ground invasion but that will never happen. P
Predominately to protect the civilian population and enforce Lebanon's borders. Not what the Israel Regime think Lebanon's borders should be.
Something they have failed miserably at doing because of utter cowardice.
Not the boots on grounds fault obviously.
Right now we have the IDF pulled up beside Irish and Polish troops making them de facto shields so they can go about their business of slaughter.
It's only a matter time before a UN service person is injured or killed.
The díckheads in the UN have made a note of though.
It sounds like human shield is the new buzzword to replace collateral damage. He interesting to see if any posters would shift their opinion on israels actions if they do kill an Irish soldier. But I guess they are all in at this stage, so wont.
3 day plan? Why does this get mentioned so much, the Russians never mentioned anything about 3 days. An anyway they're storming around Ukraine now with whatever plan they have, the Iranians surely have plan, b C and d.
