Hi - test drove a Model 3 today and loved it. For anyone who has one, the 4 year warranty is great but if there is any issue, how does a repair work? The Tesla store in Sandyford doesn’t have a service centre by the looks of it. Second, for anyone who has the Highland model, how has the quality held up? Any bits and pieces following off etc.
I’m on IOS too🤔
My app version appears to be different. iOS.
I used to have that redeem awards in my app but it’s gone now. I’ll mail them.
I see no way of sending you a link.. its just in my Tesla app.
can you send me the link please. The link in my app is not working now 🤷
I don’t have any referral credits, @Wolftown its in this section:
You won't find it unless you have referral credits in your account and the link to the referral shop.
Thanks for checking, I couldn't find it anywhere in the app and Google wasn't any help
Rear heated seats is 3000 credits for me (M3)
Have you got referral credits?
The referral credit shop is different to the retail shop and doesn’t have a monetary value against it. But, I can’t check it as my car has those items as standard. But I can see other items that I don’t have, if you get me.
Thanks for the offer, much appreciated. I've added to cart and the only payment option is card so looks like I'll have to pony up the €300. No sign of any option to purchase with credits.
What you’d have to do is find out if they are in the referral scheme. Then see how many credits they are. Then if someone will do it for you for a bit less.
I’ve done acceleration boost for a few people and legacy EAP too using credits.
If you want me to check, PM me.
I have a 2021 Model 3 SR which I wrongly assumed had heated steering wheel and rear seats, have since found out that it's a €300 upgrade.
Any way of getting this activated for a lower price? Wondering if referral credits are transferrable, or if they can even be used to upgrade....any info appreciated.
This. BYD charge €8k more for the Seal, but they give you the paint and interior colour option built in. Then if you want the fancy colour, it’s €1500 plus VRT to add it.
I think it just seems nuts because the car itself is so affordable. Other manufacturers charge the same or more for premium colours
At €1.4k the premium for grey or blue was acceptable, now with the highland colour pricing and VRT it's nuts, but away you go if that floats your boat
While I don't disagree that 2k for a paint option is nuts, you can still spec an M3 Rwd, in red, with white seats for 46k. Still cheaper than a Byd Seal. I paid roughly that for a bog spec M3 Rwd, in White in March 23.
Especially when it’s only €1500 plus VRT for the BYD colours. Tesla should be matching that.
But i don’t think it’s sheer robbery compared to others. There’s 2 colours in the i4 range that’s over €5k to add.
As much as the red & grey are fab, €2K for paint is sheer robbery.
That’s very nice. I’m going with stealth grey and it’s now €700 cheaper.
did someone say they wished the Model 3 came in Quicksilver Grey?
Interesting news there Paul, the model 3 has been highly recommended to me and I'm testing one in the next few weeks - we'll see, great info though thanks 👍
In fairness, despite Tesla being an utter sh1tshow of a company to deal with, they are generally on the ball when it comes to adjusting your price down after ordering but before delivery has happened, if there was a general price drop in that window..
but no harm ordering now as Tesla will reduce your order price if the price drops and you can always get your deposit back at any time
thanks, that is good to know.
As someone that recently cancelled a Tesla order (2nd Tesla), believe me when I say that you should take anything they say with a pinch of salt. It may well turn out to be true but it often isn't.
Hi, I just said I'd give a quick update. I got a call from Tesla Sandyford about ordering my car and they were saying that the price of the standard model 3 is going to drop by €1,000 and when I asked he wasn't quite sure whether that was going to be just for an end-of-year sale or into next year. He said that the 0.99% APR will continue to the end of the year. They're looking at booking orders before the end of the month in case any changes based the new tariffs come in and you can pick delivery for 2025.
Thanks that done the trick.
