Feels like the right time to start a new thread for next year's gigs.
John Mayer playing the 3Arena on 29 March 2024.

Saw these guys at Night and Day festival and they were excellent!
"With thanks to support from The National Arts Council and DLR County Council, Last Apollo, has orchestrated the series of songs for a concert that goes beyond the scope of a standard gig. The concert, to be performed by Rice and the newly established Arcadian Rhythm Ensemble (conducted by Catriona Atkinson) interwoven with visual art and featuring an opening performance from multidisciplinary creator E The Artist, is without a doubt, one that cannot be missed for any fans of artists such as Anohni, PJ Harvey, Lisa O Neill and Big Thief."
Here's a song to convince you...
Saw Them at EP she has a great voice with good songs
Saw them supporting Genn upstairs@Whelans back in March. Too Florence-like and melodramatic for me but i could definitely see them doing something alright.
I was given a ticket to Joan as a Policewoman tonight but she’s just not arresting me. So booked a ticket to Orange Goblin instead. Anyone want my Joan ticket?
Make sure you get in by 7.30 to see the support act Conan.
Be still my beating heart. Their Spotify profile….
Conan - the sound of unending hammer blows into the earth. A galloping charging war horse heading for your town. So heavy that the gods look away, intimidated by their unearthly delivery.
😎
any update on this? nothing announced yet
Crickets on their socials.
It seems unfathomable that this will go ahead in three days.
Three days ago Pras sued Lauryn Hill for the cancellation of the US leg of the tour and accused her of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, improper accounting, breach of contract and other stuff.
What does that have to do with The Last Dinner Party?
he’s mixing up the fugees gig on Monday in the point with the one in the olympia
chances of either happening are probably slim
Whoops. Yep, I meant this! Thanks.
Yep. Great stage presence!
MCD going to wait until the day of the show to cancel to get insurance payout are they ?
no insurance pay outs on those kinds shows. The last dinner party will probably reschedule all those dates for next year. They deserve to lose money booking lauryn hill at this point
Conan were indeed, excellent. Lovely long set too. Thanks as always Dreamweapon.
Childish Gambino tour has been cancelled.

Any recommendations for either tonight or tomorrow night Dreamweapon?
If it’s cancelled, what possible reason other than sheer prickery would mcd have in not announcing it. People will have travel plans, possibly hotels etc booked.
last dinner band members are sick so probably just waiting to see if any chance they can make Dublin or which dates logistically they restart from. And they will have to announce rescheduled dates and that takes a minute to figure out. lauryn hill I’m sure they waiting to see if she even boards the plane
Waiting to cancel Dublin is only awful management. I don't really see how you can say Dublin more than likely isn't going ahead when you don't know anything about what's gone on with them
If it's illness related though, it makes sense to wait as late as possible before cancelling.
I remember a similar case with the Depeche Mode tour of 2009 (I think), when Dave Gahan fell ill couple of hours before the Athens concert. I think eventually they had to cancel 5-6 gigs, but they were not cancelled altogether, I think it was 1-2 gigs at a time.
because there is the added complications of the getting the band, tour bus, crew over to ireland. They will likely just restart the tour in the uk itself as that’s miles easier to manage on a logistic front.
they’d have known by now if they were cancelling.
It makes no sense at all to wait if it looks unlikely that that the gig will happen as people will have needed to book time off, hotel etc. Bands cancel sometimes unfortunately but it makes no sense to treat the fans as morons while doing so.
All of which is organised well in advance so that will make literally no difference.
I'm undoubtedly being naive but there seems to be a chance of the Hill/Fugees gig going ahead, which would be astonishing given the legal battles. If it's not happening then surely giving people 48 hours notice would be polite. Is it now simply a matter (as you say) of waiting to see whether LH boards the plane tomorrow or Monday. It doesn't affect me soo I can see the humorous side of this appalling diva-ish behaviour. Attendees may see it slightly differently.
Tenner says she tests positive for COVID sometime in the next 24 hours......
If i was determined to hit a gig this weekend i'd take a punt on The Grogans, on tonight in the Workmans Cellar. Australian 3-piece in the indie/garage/rock'n'roll ballpark but perhaps a bit too indie.
