So the balls-up has started since last night which makes Fairview from clontarf to Edges corner a single lane with bollards down the centre.
This will be a permanent feature and works will take 21 months.
Yeah I live top of Philipsburgh Ave, I turn left now at Anneslet House when coming outbound
I really detest how this asshole leaves cars dumped here and other places as free advertisement. Is this legal? How come the old and disabled defenders aren't outraged by this removal of a parking space?
That hairy cnut’s a far-right supporter. Not a cent will I ever give him again……
i know, c**t. i'm pretty sure what he's doing is illegal here. he also leaves cars outside st annes near the tree sculpture for days, taking a space from the old/disabled who might want to enjoy the park.
i think someone needs to give his tyres a good lentelling like the tyre extinguishers.
His parking at St Anns is completely legal, but may be annoying to some. Leaving his politics aside his charity donations are well known.
I doubt he sees them as "donations", rather as investments. Good advertising for him and some people are willing to overlook his shıtty behaviour because of it...
is it paid parking there? is there no limit on how long you can stay?
It's free.
Since you're not aware of his dealings I'll not tell you. But he gets absolutely no PR value from the actions I'm talking about. It's completely private.
So "his charity donations are well known" but yet of "no PR value" and "completely private"? The fact that you brought it up in his defense when others questioned his behaviour proves my point.
W*nkers car was still there yesterday evening. 4 or 5 days taking a space from the old and disabled!
Directly across from that insurance broker who had to shut up shop due to lack of parking space.
Not to be funny, but who drives to go to an insurance broker? I thought that kind of business was all done online or over the phone!
Maybe that’s the reason he went out of business.
Staff! Same as most of the on-street parking outside businesses around the country - it is more often taken by staff, not customers.
People who still want to deal exclusively in cash I guess. Surprised there are enough of them to keep a business afloat though.
Or the workmen carrying out the roadworks. 🙄
I don't know what their circumstances were, but anyone on that corridor should be pushed towards using public transport or bikes.
I do wonder out of all the people who claim they NEED to drive to work, how many of them are being honest? No doubt there are people who do genuinely need it, but at the same token there are plenty of people who just don't want the "inconvenience" of not using their car.
Still there!
Clearly I have too much time on my hands but you can report it as an abandoned vehicle
If anyone else feels like doing so, voila
https://citizenhub.dublincity.ie/en/service/Abandoned_Vehicle
He has another van, which definitely looks abandoned, but still advertising on the Clontarf side of the Arch bridge. Its tucked in under the bushes. Give that one a report as well.
That's on private property. DCC can't touch it.
I presume he means here, where his cars and other cars are often dumped. this is private property?

Yes. Strange as it may seem. Both sides of the bridge, inside the footpath, are private property.
Anyone know when the new lights in Fairview park along the path by the river + under the DART bridge will be switched on? Ran the route coming back from the new greenway in East point last night and it felt slightly dodgy.
That's the place. I wonder who owns the land.
I thought it was owned by a garage that is in the laneway on the Fairview side?
I love people who don’t just talk about it but do it. Well done!
I report vehicles often enough, but it's not acted on enough.
there was a semi-burnt out van belonging to someone with a large garden and driveway near my house in edenmore before i moved for months. eventually i got the council to do something and he moved it into his garden. not a good look when the first thing you see is a smashed up ford transit with burn damage upon entering the estate, but people seem to think it's ok to leave it out on the road for months.
It’s a little further afield but does anyone know what is happening with The Baths? Would be a shame if it fell into dereliction again.
