Oooh, thats interesting. Might grab one of those myself, as my tefal has seen better days and I've been looking at getting a new one.
Baskets are dishwasher proof 👍️
Has anyone on the thread had an Ambiano air fryer before?
I only got a tiny one last year as a test (€17.95 Lidl). The only thing I needed to use the oven for since was frozen pizza which aren't great anyway.
I've just moved to a new house which had absolutely nothing in it and I'm not even going to buy a full cooker. I got a two ring portable hob, my microwave, and when I get the big airfrier tomorrow I'll have a full cooking area for nearly a quarter of the cost and lots of saving on electricity bills.
I can treat myself to a fresh 🍕 from the Italian if I occasionally get the urge.

Yes, I bought the small one last year. I thought it was pretty awful. The non-stick coating wore off after a few uses (3-4). It became unuseable and its in a press somewhere in my house.
Bought a Tefal Maxfry on Amazon Warehouse (50% ish). Chalk and cheese comparing the two.
Dunnes have a Salter dual airfryer for 85 that you can use the shop and save vouchers on if you have any. Not sure if any better than the Aldi one though. I dont have either
For anyone near NI this is a great single air fryer from Home Bargains:
https://home.bargains/product/0f5e543c-fe5f-4b7c-bcde-9b49b9d22e51/pifco-digital-air-fryer-65l
£40. Decent size for pizzas etc. Had it for a while. Non stick coating still working well on it. Came with a spare tray. Only 3 of us in the house though so maybe suits a small family better.
I have a single (round) basket Salter air fryer that I bought in Aldi a few years ago, which is very easy to use. Used a few times a week with no issues. Will buy the same one again as a 2nd air fryer as I don’t have room to leave full time on kitchen counter & it took long enough for my OH to be able to use it without confusing him with a different one & giving him the excuse of not being able to operate it! I love that the basket can be removed from ‘drawer’ for shaking of food & washing similar to a deep fat fryer basket being lifted out of the oil.
The salter seems to be sold out 🙁
Not food related but as someone who works outside I have to wear factor 50 sun protection everyday. The spray can dispensers are game changers, you save so much time instead of having to apply it by hand.
Had anybody noticed that the home page of the Aldi app has a picture of fireworks available in store for 17th October. They obviously have the wrong picture loaded for the Irish app.
I got the Salter 9 litre last December but the non stick has just started to come off.
I think the bigger ones are better, you can put a chicken / ham in them.
Tried The Juice Company Cloudy Lemonade for 1.79. I love cloudy lemonade anyway, but thought this was really nice. There's Lso a strawberry and rhubarb, not quire as nice and a tropical, which I didn't try yet.

It's hard enough to find still lemonade in Ireland and I like that one too. It's better than the one lidl had during the summer which was tasteless. Tropical one just kind of tastes like tropical juice. Original is best.
Found this this evening and half the bottle is gone already on crispy wings, very tasty 👌
give some to the culchie
Pardo?? 🤔

Well spotted 😁
Well then you must know the CULCHIE
I know the CUTCHIE alright 😁 he'd probably have a more refined taste palette 🍻

Loaded peanuts...have tried The wings one and salt and vinegar....1.79 love them
Any picture?

This is a dont recomend!! the aldi pork leg with cracking in frozen isle, absolutely vile! should've known really I think it was €5, do not bother!!
anyone recommend anything good fish wise?
I'm a fan of the New Zealand Pinot Gris on offer at the moment for €7.50

Pricier, but a step up in quality would be the Macon Villages… think it might be back to €13 after having been on offer for a while.

Thanks, bought the wings and salt & vinegar today. Will give my opinion later.
Update : Those peanuts are nice, very nice. I preferred the Salt & Vinegar flavour by a whisker. Quite well seasoned, soo you won't be eating a whole packet, but a nice snack.
Vile how?
I'm pretty sure they were looking for an actual fish recommendation, not a wine to pair with it 🤣
