Congrats. I won 100e voucher earlier in the year. Some months I have 12 scans. So always worth scanning the rewards card.
good to know, I generally don't bother scanning the card if I'm not buying anything on offer, and I rarely buy enough to use a coupon.
If i order some cans today on the deal that finishes today, but collection tomorrow, will i be charged today or tomorrow when the deal is over does anyone know?
Just remember you've to enter the draw on the app to.
It pops into the app at the start of the month generally and you've about a week or so to enter with an easy question.
You're charged the current price at the time of delivery/collection. You need to get them today.
SV website has already updated for the next round of offers. Many many images warning.
3 for €25 for Pampers jumbo packs is the cheapest I've ever seen. Usually €30 when they have those offers
I know normally the non reward price is the amount they take first into account before the money off voucher is applied, then the real reward discount take place as previously described by @Seve OB but that is for individual item.
Anyone know what's the story with the below where it is multi buy? Does the same still work (i.e. if I have €5 off €35. Can I get 10 pack for €35. Use the voucher, it becomes 10 pack for €30. Then it takes off further €15 (from 5x€3) from the real reward difference.. giving total €15)
Is that correct?
I think so. But can’t be 100% sure. Let’s know how you get on
i couldn't apply the money off voucher ( ie. 5 off 35 ) at the 'standard' shelf prices. Wouldn't recognise it , and asked me to scan the Real Rewards 'clubcard'
Once scanned, it reduced the prices for the bundles that were part of the weekly deal and afterwards would ask for the money off coupon and took another €5 off the balance to pay ( real rewards prices made up about €41 worth of shopping)
Vanish 1.5Kg bundle it's v. good value , if you find it in stock ( smaller stores might sell the smaller tubs, up to 1 kg)
No, as the total before your voucher is applied is €20 meaning your total doesn't meet the minimum amount of €35 for your voucher.
The non rewards price totals up, then they apply the real rewards price discount, then you can use your voucher.
It's an annoying way of doing it
I would expect that you will get 10 for €15.
Loo rolls for me last week @ €11 standard and offer 2 @ €16.
Scanned 4 @ €11 to make 44. Scanned real rewards card followed bt 7 off 40 to make 37. Pressed pay now (Or whatever it says) and a further 12 came off giving me 4 for €25.
Incidentally, I used a 7 off 40 from a different account to the scanned real rewards card too.
Is it me or is the value for money slipping slightly here?
3x club orange for €4 a few months ago. now 3 for €5.
Also the 9 packs of cadbury bars were €3.00. Same items are now €4.00. Same as Dunnes.
you are wrong here as I have previously outlined and was just proven in the post directly after you. It’s something I have done quite often.
Tried it in SV myself before and it went the way I outlined
Has always worked for me as @Seve OB describes.
possible you had something in basket that didn’t qualify such as bottle deposit.
I must have done it in at least 10 different shops and works every time
did you actually try to hit the spend and save threshold with the full price.
If you go by the real rewards price, of course it will go as you outlined.
Point is, you don’t actually have to spend as much to get the spend and save discount. Try it next time
First lot of October!
Thanks for the heads up. Great value for the villa Maria, does anyone know when this offer is from?
Its usually Thursday to Wednesday, so, should be available tomorrow.
@This is it and others.
You can enter the Scan to Win Competition now.
Just click scan to win on the app and answer the question.
Prizes are,
Now no googling the answer to the Scan to Win question!
I'm fed up with SV and their dodgy pricing.
Just in it today and seen Cheerios at €3.50, 2 for €4 on the end of aisle special.
Took them to the self service till, charged 2 x €3.50, no discount applied. If I had a big shop I might not have noticed that and just paid the total.
Why advertise them on the shelves at the special price if it doesn't apply? Surely there has to be a law against that?
so how did you resolve it?
have to watch them like a hawk, Barry’s tea was on offer last week with the reduced price on the shelf and I did the self service checkout and it came up €4.05 it was only 25c but I told them anyway, they said it was my fault for picking up the wrong box and I should have taken them from a display that has 25% extra free
It’s always someone else’s fault
I removed them from my basket and left them lying there at the till.
Was in a hurry and didn't have time to say to someone.
Did you scan your card?
Yes.
It said card accepted, but didn't apply discount. I assume it's something like the offer starts in the morning and they have them on the shelves ready to go. But it's still dodgy to me to be advertising an offer that isn't active.
There's a Lidl being built nearby them, so they may try to get in as much cash as they can before their customer base takes a beating.
