And no tv (or aerial - which mightn't work as it's under a tree judging by the leaves on the roof) or broadband.
No cooker or washing machine?
Unless they're under the hideous cloth covering (which I'm pretty sure would be dangerous).
and all the electrical sockets/switches in the wall?
€1.5k/m to live outside Drogheda, roughly 200m from the M1 and have dogs and horses at any hour of the day.
Good auld Ireland…
in one photo they've a chair placed directly under one of them!
They're a "feature".
I notice how they moved the sofa to photograph the kitchen area to make it look bigger.
How could you live with those saddle yokes sticking out of the wall (I assume that's what they are)? You could do yourself an injury on the lower ones. Not the worst I have seen on the whole, though 1.5k a month is pushing it.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, and it's not even Christmas yet.
This was a "tack room" for a stable yard, so a glorified stable. And the person lucky enough to rent it had better be OK with it being an active yard. "Please note it does open directly onto the Stable Yard so tenant would have to be comfortable with Horses and Dogs."
BER exempt, electric heaters, and single glaze windows. You'd need to have the stove going 24/7 to keep any decent temperature.

The lights in that Kildare home - I've never seen anything like that before. I wouldn't necessarily want any of them but I thought they were interesting. I think maybe they might be more suited in a ranch style home.
it’s hard to see the trees from the wood..
i wonder are the fire extinguishers wooden.
OMG, it just kept getting worse, even the light fittings are all wooden!!!
Plywood and mdf not great firewood.
Edit, kidding
the problem is ripping out all that wood and making good what's revealed would be a six figure job easily.
Ithink that's the first time I've seen a four poster bath!
And I'd hate to be rushing down the stairs in a hurry in my socks 😱
You'd have to find someone that likes that sort of thing which is unlikely. Then, if you get someone who doesn't like it you're ripping out very expensive but awful work.
At least you'll have firewood for eighteen years.
got wood..
The fish on the wall. All I can think about is the Soprano's.
Madness!
these are lovely houses and built to a high spec but I think they lost the run of themselves with the price one of the semi ds (same size and layout) sold for 6 or 700k less a few years ago

It's definitely wood overkill but at the same time it seems to have all been made very well. Some of the light features are certainly interesting.
Aside from all the wood, there's actually a lot that I like about that house. Doubt they'd come with the house, but I really like traditional and classic furniture and there are many many pieces that I really liked there.
I love the kitchen layout (not the colour though), I like the enclosed bath with the mirrors (I'm sure I'd eventually brighten it up, but I like the style anyway), I LOVE that they have snooker table and a gym!!
The only thing that I wouldn't like is the maintaining of the garden grounds 😣
for the laugh, i threw that into the SCSI home rebuild calculator. you can see the values i entered below. so the asking is good value for money!
the exterior looks awful. more stench of throwing money at bad taste, it looks like a 1980s bungalow with a load of dressed stone chucked at it.
if you're going to throw that much money at 5 bed, 8,200sq ft house, you've more than enough room to make all bedrooms ensuite, rather than just two of them. at least the buyer would have a chance to turn it into a b&b then!
i love coming into this thread for a look, in fairness it always a great 5 mins. Now i've never considered ever sayin' anything in here case you all say it so well. fair play to alll the contributors here
but this house WTF
‘Yes, Niles, but if less is more just imagine how much more more would be.’
Did someone say "New Money".
how many forests had to die for that 😳
Such a shame. The exterior is pretty but the interior is awful. I couldn't find a single room I liked.
I hope the owner was a chippy as all that timber work was not cheap and doesn't look like cheap timber used either. I don't think there is a room without timber at all.
There's a lot going on in this house, someone with a big wood fetish too.
