Stone chips etc will re rust as the coating has been removed. The bounce on my 60° is usually the second thing to rust after marks from stones in bunkers.
I use a brush under running cold/warm water with some fairy liquid, dry them after with the golf towel. Don’t forget your grips, you’ll get a lot more life out of them. Towel dry them as well
Went back and watched some lesson recap videos i got from two years ago, and realised I've pretty much stopped doing any of what was suggested. It's so easy for bad habits to creep back into your game when you're not being mindful of them.

Rules Q: I'm a foot off the green, in the fringe. There is a sprinkler head on the green, directly in my line to the hole, about 4 feet away. Am I entitled to any relief?
No relief unless there is a local rule in place.
The sprinkler would need to interfere with your stance or swing and that is not going to be the case from 4 feet away.
If your ball was on the green then you would be entitled to relief as the sprinkler is on your line of play

However, if it's not on a green, eg at the fringe obstructing your putting line or landing spot you rely on a local rule per Paulo above... My club has something like if the sprinkler is within 2 club lengths of the green you get free relief if it is on your intended line provided you are within 2 club lengths of the sprinkler.

I have played a couple of rounds this year and a couple last year, after being totally out of the game for many years, with my old Ping G10 driver. Pretty much lost no distance on my mates who have far more modern clubs. But I remember before I hung up the clubs trying out a range of drivers which were all 5+ years newer than my G10 was. None of them could come within 10-15 yards of my G10. I think I just got lucky with the shaft that came with the G10 and it suited me down to the ground. Hope to play more golf next summer and I'd have no intention of getting a new driver. Need all my clubs re-gripped though.
I still have G10 3 and 5 woods. I'm tempted to replace them because they're old, but I struggle to find a reason to. I actually bought them from a friend who replaced his woods with them for the same reason, but never warmed to them, so reverted to his old ones.
So his bag consists of a ping G2 driver. His 2 fairway woods costs £25 new (punts, these were pre euro). Ping eye II irons - are they from the early 90s? And a cobra putter. Obviously not one of the ones they've made since they started making putters again. I'd love to know what a full bag fitting would do to his game. He's currently off about 10.

Watched this video randomly last week and thought i'd try it out on course this weekend.
Feels incredibly stable and every putt started on exactly the line i wanted them to, not all dropped of course. But it felt so comfortable putting this way and with the interlock grip.
For reference i play off 4 and my putting was always strong however this year felt i was pulling a lot of putts left from inside 10feet.
One round of doing left hand low putting and i feel like i'll never go back to the conventional grip i've used for 20 years.
Is it too good to be true??
I've always putted left hand low, since I was a kid. I don't know why, but putting with a traditional grip always seemed weird to me. Maybe because I'm right handed, I feel a little more in control of the putter face with my good hand on top.
Read an article a couple of years ago with Jack Nicklaus, said if he was starting out again as a young player he'd go left below for putting. Think he said mainly as it kept shoulders level or something like that anyway from what I can recall
I was amazed how many putts started on the exact line i was intending. Don't think i pushed or pulled a single putt. Now, obviously you still have to read the green correctly to hole the putts. But it's one of these wee changes that makes me want to get straight back out and hit putts on a putting green.
I'm sure the excitement won't last and this little buzz moment will prove folly.
Has anyone here overcome chipping yips? Specifically, caused by deceleration into the ball due to over-long back swing. Asking for a friend.
Was going to buy foot spray for practice to see my strike location on the face of the club. have heard Dr Scholl brand mentioned before, when i look on amazon they have lots of foot sprays products, is there a particular product anyone can recommend?
Usually caused by lack of body rotation through strike, resulting in wrists firing independently. Both in tandem or no wrist firing at all. Lock the wrists as a drill. It will force our friend to rotate the body…
Pro once told me just stand up and hit it.

Do any of you have a Galvin Green waterproof top? Do you wear your usual size or do you size up to account for potential extra layers in winter?
Any thoughts on going Paclite versions vs not Paclite?
I'm a short and slim build (5'7"). Normally small is my size. A GG waterproof jacket in small was too tight on top of a polo + midlayer. The medium has plenty of room so I went with that. Bought a small long sleeve GG polo another time and it fitted as a medium - too big. YMMV.
Worth trying the waterproofs in person with your golf clothes. The jacket is great quality though, couldn't fault it.
Don't have this, but played with a guy who treated himself to the paclite. Raves about it ,for fit and comfort..
This version has the stretch..
