Having a bit of a navigation issue that's driving me a little soft.
When driving on a motorway, say from Waterford to Dublin Airport, as soon as i get on the motorway, the sat nav, instead of saying in 90kms, turn left on to the M50, it will tell me to go straight at every junction on the motorway.
Is there anyway to change the navigation settings?
I hate that feature as well. It seems pointless to keep referring to junctions that are of no significance to your journey. My own fault but it resulted in I taking the wrong exit from a motorway when I glanced at screen and saw 'now' so turned into exit before realising mine was the next one. Resulted in a 22km unnecessary round trip😆 Would love to be able to switch to Google maps view but I don't think it's possible
I was in Tesla Sandyford today as I’m the same and decided earlier this summer to wait and get a 251 M3. The guy said order in November for delivery in January. He also mentioned that they are looking at adding the option when you order to say you want the car in January not December.
Any news on Quicksilver coming to Ireland for the Model 3?
Penny must have finally dropped that most cars in Ireland get registered in January.
I’ll believe it when I see it?
I’ll want to hear the sound of that penny hitting the tiles!
Guys the navigation when I drive not using the navigation the red arrow points exactly in the direction of travel.
Now when I look to use the navigation and I’m driving to the location the red arrow doesn’t match the direction of travel it’s like it’s upside down.
But when I pinch and turn the map to the correct direction of travel it stays fixed for maybe 10 seconds then goes back to upside down?
Is this normal or is it always like that and I’ve haven’t notched it before?
As always, try a two scroll wheel button reset
Thanks that done the trick.
Hi, I just said I'd give a quick update. I got a call from Tesla Sandyford about ordering my car and they were saying that the price of the standard model 3 is going to drop by €1,000 and when I asked he wasn't quite sure whether that was going to be just for an end-of-year sale or into next year. He said that the 0.99% APR will continue to the end of the year. They're looking at booking orders before the end of the month in case any changes based the new tariffs come in and you can pick delivery for 2025.
As someone that recently cancelled a Tesla order (2nd Tesla), believe me when I say that you should take anything they say with a pinch of salt. It may well turn out to be true but it often isn't.
thanks, that is good to know.
but no harm ordering now as Tesla will reduce your order price if the price drops and you can always get your deposit back at any time
In fairness, despite Tesla being an utter sh1tshow of a company to deal with, they are generally on the ball when it comes to adjusting your price down after ordering but before delivery has happened, if there was a general price drop in that window..
Interesting news there Paul, the model 3 has been highly recommended to me and I'm testing one in the next few weeks - we'll see, great info though thanks 👍
did someone say they wished the Model 3 came in Quicksilver Grey?
That’s very nice. I’m going with stealth grey and it’s now €700 cheaper.
As much as the red & grey are fab, €2K for paint is sheer robbery.
Especially when it’s only €1500 plus VRT for the BYD colours. Tesla should be matching that.
But i don’t think it’s sheer robbery compared to others. There’s 2 colours in the i4 range that’s over €5k to add.
While I don't disagree that 2k for a paint option is nuts, you can still spec an M3 Rwd, in red, with white seats for 46k. Still cheaper than a Byd Seal. I paid roughly that for a bog spec M3 Rwd, in White in March 23.
At €1.4k the premium for grey or blue was acceptable, now with the highland colour pricing and VRT it's nuts, but away you go if that floats your boat
I think it just seems nuts because the car itself is so affordable. Other manufacturers charge the same or more for premium colours
This. BYD charge €8k more for the Seal, but they give you the paint and interior colour option built in. Then if you want the fancy colour, it’s €1500 plus VRT to add it.
I have a 2021 Model 3 SR which I wrongly assumed had heated steering wheel and rear seats, have since found out that it's a €300 upgrade.
Any way of getting this activated for a lower price? Wondering if referral credits are transferrable, or if they can even be used to upgrade....any info appreciated.
What you’d have to do is find out if they are in the referral scheme. Then see how many credits they are. Then if someone will do it for you for a bit less.
I’ve done acceleration boost for a few people and legacy EAP too using credits.
If you want me to check, PM me.
Thanks for the offer, much appreciated. I've added to cart and the only payment option is card so looks like I'll have to pony up the €300. No sign of any option to purchase with credits.
Have you got referral credits?
The referral credit shop is different to the retail shop and doesn’t have a monetary value against it. But, I can’t check it as my car has those items as standard. But I can see other items that I don’t have, if you get me.
Rear heated seats is 3000 credits for me (M3)
Thanks for checking, I couldn't find it anywhere in the app and Google wasn't any help
You won't find it unless you have referral credits in your account and the link to the referral shop.
