Not food related but as someone who works outside I have to wear factor 50 sun protection everyday. The spray can dispensers are game changers, you save so much time instead of having to apply it by hand.
The salter seems to be sold out 🙁
I have a single (round) basket Salter air fryer that I bought in Aldi a few years ago, which is very easy to use. Used a few times a week with no issues. Will buy the same one again as a 2nd air fryer as I don’t have room to leave full time on kitchen counter & it took long enough for my OH to be able to use it without confusing him with a different one & giving him the excuse of not being able to operate it! I love that the basket can be removed from ‘drawer’ for shaking of food & washing similar to a deep fat fryer basket being lifted out of the oil.
For anyone near NI this is a great single air fryer from Home Bargains:

£40. Decent size for pizzas etc. Had it for a while. Non stick coating still working well on it. Came with a spare tray. Only 3 of us in the house though so maybe suits a small family better.
Dunnes have a Salter dual airfryer for 85 that you can use the shop and save vouchers on if you have any. Not sure if any better than the Aldi one though. I dont have either
Has anyone on the thread had an Ambiano air fryer before
Yes, I bought the small one last year. I thought it was pretty awful. The non-stick coating wore off after a few uses (3-4). It became unuseable and its in a press somewhere in my house.
Bought a Tefal Maxfry on Amazon Warehouse (50% ish). Chalk and cheese comparing the two.
I only got a tiny one last year as a test (€17.95 Lidl). The only thing I needed to use the oven for since was frozen pizza which aren't great anyway.
I've just moved to a new house which had absolutely nothing in it and I'm not even going to buy a full cooker. I got a two ring portable hob, my microwave, and when I get the big airfrier tomorrow I'll have a full cooking area for nearly a quarter of the cost and lots of saving on electricity bills.
I can treat myself to a fresh 🍕 from the Italian if I occasionally get the urge.
Oooh, thats interesting. Might grab one of those myself, as my tefal has seen better days and I've been looking at getting a new one.
Baskets are dishwasher proof 👍️
Has anyone on the thread had an Ambiano air fryer before?
I'll answer my own question. The Aldi one seems to be 8 litre so I'll probably go with that.
Neither of them seem to have a removable divider though.
There's probably a more suitable thread for this but I can't find it.
Does anyone have an opinion on the advantages/disadvantages of the €89 dual airfrier coming up on Thursday compared to the one currently in Tesco for the same price with clubcard?
The Tesco one is 7.4L but I can't see a size for the Aldi one.
You should really copyright that post and send it to whoever is in charge of marketing with Musgraves.
It would be the best ever tagline for their next ad campaign.
The new Ardagh sliced protein cheese is nice but the exact same as the Supervalu one which is 40 cent cheaper! Sign of how prices have changed in Aldi I guess
Tried the Vinho Verde, but not a fan. Quite sharp tasting. I've never found one in Ireland to replace the one that Lidl used to carry, sadly discontinued.
I'll be in Portugal in 3 weeks, I'll drink my fill of it then.
I just had them again and still thought they were smaller so I checked the UK site where they still sell the original 4 pack that were the same size and weight as here. The UK ones are 66g each and the new ones here are 56g each so shrinkflation again. I know the UK ones were the same because I had them over there when we had the 4 pack here.

Big jambon fan here 😅.
Frozen ones are great.
Or cut a roll of aldi puff pastry into squares for your own fillings. Hot pepperoni and mature cheese 🤤.
The pastry comes up well in an air fryer.
not the healthiest but their ham and cheese jambons are really delicious - they do mini x 8 or large by 2
spread a thin layer of real butter on them while still frozen and then pop in the oven/air fryer for extra yumminess. depending on the type of oven rotating regularly ensures even baking…
New frozen mini doughnuts are delicious. Nice doughnut:jam ratio. I find there's always so little in the big ones. Crystal sugar dusted instead of powdered too.
Down in the bread section, bottom shelf in a carton near the rolls and buns. Uusually someone has tried to nab all the white ones, so it may look all jumbled up
even better than the real thing imo
I’d be the same, I believe in the queuing system 😉🤣
Nobody ever offers in Tesco Dunnes centra spar londis or supervalu, never get, nor do I want to get, why this only ever happens in aldi and Lidl, just queue, have patience and go on with life 🤣 (not criticising you for offering btw)
where are these located in store. I’ve looked a few times now. Thanks.
It's not in their brochure but their chocolate covered Oaties (definitely NOT HobNobs 😉😉😁) are half price 55c. Very nice and 25% chocolate which is probably as much as is on the real thing.
This is a sub brand. ERDINGER Brauhaus. They seem to do two varieties, the Radler and a Helles. I must try the Helles as the Radler is great. Mind you regular ERDINGER is nice too
Erdinger Hefe is available the whole time and is lovely 🍻
Am a fan of Radler alright, pretty sure have seen it in Tesco but cheaper in ALDI at the moment going by online pricing.
I was in earlier and picked up 2 bottles of Erdinger Radner beer. I had one just there and it was delicious. Really hits the spot. It comes in 500ml bottles as well. It’s one I’ll look up and try and source independently as they’ll no doubt discontinue it at some stage.
Pleased to see the no pork patties back in the freezers. My daughter is vegetarian and loves them with hash browns and mushrooms.
Toasting muffins still good. And the plant menu no pork patties are decent too.
Lol that’s probably because I was there and bright Lord of the raspberry home with me. 😀. I might see how the lemon flavour does in a shandy. It might be worth a try.
Yeah the lemon one doesn't really taste of anything at all but the strawberry/lime is delicious. Of course every time I go to Aldi there's rows of the lemon but only one or two of the strawberry/lime, sometimes none!
