We don't need a CUH Helipad thread, but plenty of helicopters coming in this week for testing!

Ryanair app has some updates for summer 25 Saville and valencia showing as +1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51 ✭✭fjr13

Reus also showing as daily, + 2 from summer 24

You'd hope there is a lot more to come than that… Was talk of an extra plane based in Cork and 4 million pax next year!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,942 ✭✭✭lisasimpson

Any new routes probably won't appear on the app for a while but handy to keep an eye for changes on existing routes

Rome and Venice still not appearing. I reckon they're trying to decide which Rome and Venice airport to use so they will probably go up soon. Bordeaux is being axed afaik

For parking in Cork airport, website says sold out but I've seen on their twitter they've said in the past that they hold spaces back, anyone know if that is still true or if anyone has been up there lately and used parking?

You mean the long term parking? I’ve never pre-booked and have never had a problem. Last time I flew out of Cork was the August Bank Holiday weekend - probably the peak of peak season - and it was grand. Curiously though, I flew out of Shannon two weeks ago - after the schools and colleges had gone back - and despite it appearing to have more extensive term car parking, it was very full!

Probably gets busier when the schools go back for a while. Less people in cars with couples heading off, but more cars. When in July and August, you'd have mainly families going away.

Ya, says full on their website but seems odd time of the year to be full (I'd expect it more on June/August bank holidays)

Had the same issue recently, and was onto them. They don't sell all the spaces online. Apparently they have never turned someone away from the car park, so I wouldn't worry about it. Just drive up to one of the long term car parks and you'll get a space.

for anyone who has come back from Paris with Ryanair through Beauvais, how did you get out to the airport from the city and would you do the same again?

I'll be flying back on the Monday evening flight soon and am looking for the most comfortable route. I'll have a small wheely bag.

(Also, one of the biggest issues with current routes is how hard it is to get weekend breaks. Flying out with Air France on a Friday and back with Ryanair the Monday seems to be best option currently but far from ideal)

Christ! This carry on of playing music over the intercom has ruined the ambience of the place. Was up there earlier and something that I could only describe as the sound track to an American 80s soap opera was playing. WTF!?

Beauvais is a terrible airport to fly into and out of. Wish we still had the Vueling flight to Orly. That was handy

Just got an email from Ryanair telling me my November midweek booking to Birmingham has been cancelled for 'commercial reasons'. Checked the site and they appear to have cancelled all midweek Birmingham flights for the winter

I did that trip few years ago by bus. I cant remember where I picked up the bus in Paris.

The airport shop is very very expensive so be sure to bring some snacks from Paris with . I really did not like Beauvais airport.

ah that's a pity about the Bordeaux flight being axed. It's makes for a really lovely weekend break.

Ye agree re Bordeaux. We did La Rochelle over the Summer for 3 nights. Was lovely in fairness too.

Yeah it's a shame.. High airport charges at BOD are to blame for that!

If you go onto the Skyscanner mobile app and select anytime in July, anywhere in the world and direct flights, it lists Izmir in Turkey from Cork Airport. When you click it, it doesn't show a direct route. However, when you just click anywhere in July and anywhere in the world, it lists multiple Turkish routes with a transfer, only narrowing down to just Izmir when you choose direct

Ryanair winter schedule launched today. Additional flights to Lanzarote and Manchester, and new routes to Charleroi and Rome Ciampano. Meh enough.

Would love a Madrid route via in Cork. Somewhere I've never been to, and you'd imagine it'd be pretty popular.

Shameful that they are trying to spin the Brussels and Rome flights as “new” when they are already existing routes, just different airports!

The Cork schedule is beyond stale. They should be looking to take advantage of Dublin’s over capacity issues but lack the imagination and drive to seek out actual new destinations.
    Same ‘ol, same ‘ol.
