Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Wonder would it be worth buying the U2 membership to just have the guarantee of tickets, I'm assuming as they'll be home shows demand would be greater to see them internationally along with all the yanks
It's been said many times, but worth reiterating, that profile is a scam artist. They have no inside knowledge, they're just throwing darts and hoping, and they have taken money from people under false pretences
Up to you if you ignore them, please never give them any money
Me too, TBF. Dinosaur, here, too!!
The "Concert Celebrity" on Instagram reporting U2 doing two nights in Croke Park next year.
I must be a dinosaur, I didn't know how that worked! Thought presale was a small number of tics to ascertain demand.
Just saw she added another date for Liverpool, hopefully she will for Dublin too.
Ah yeah but that was due to the technical difficulties in fairness. If it had been a mid-song interaction, different kettle of fish. Was either that or talk awkwardly or leave the stage...I'd support the bizarre option
I've seen her as recently as 2022. Standing about 15ft away from her, can confirm that she wasn't lip syncing.
BD playing "she'll be coming round the mountain" on his cheeks.
You are being disengenuous.
Bonos vocals are all live. There is no backing track of lead vocals.
Yes the band use cue and click tracks, thats common practice, nothing wrong with that.
bono does sing over a backing/cue track. It’s been well documented for over two decades. The whole u2 show is them singing/playing over elaborate backing, cue and click tracks and they have Terry lawless playing keyboard/midi loops/triggering backing loops from the side of stage. the same goes for nearly all major stadium bands, the Rolling Stones have backing tracks. The list goes. so this whole “how dare a pop artist with elaborate choreography only partially sing every song” whilst alot of the famous rock stars/bands do the same tricks.
One of the kids was ill the last time he hit Whelan's so we had to cancel last minute, was gutted. This time it's in the Easter holidays but we haven't booked to go anywhere yet, so I can probably work it in 😋
Couldn't have done it on the Tuesday between Frank and Dave no???
Excellent news though, Chuck is an utterly brilliant songwriter and a glorious human being. Can't understand a frigging word he says half the time though.
Firstly he isnt a guy in his garage, its a recording studio.
He is a professional musician with 416000 subscribers, almost half a million people watched that video.
Bono doesn't sing over a vocal backing track, never did.
Lipa's show is basically choreography to a backing track, like so many other artists today.
not watching a clip from a guy dissecting live clip from his garage. She sings over her own vocals running underneath, she is a pop star doing elaborate choreography for her whole show so of course she doesn’t sing every note. That’s not what pop star do. bono is dancing around a stage and he sings over a cue/backing vocals track.
Watch the clip I linked.
The live track and the studio version are exactly the same.
The band are playing over the studio version and Dua sings over it in parts, but her vocal is mostly hidden in the mix.
Talking of Revival Tour alumni, Chuck Ragan is back...
she tours with a live band so not tapes per se
nah presales now can be up to 95% of tickets. 3 mobile presale is capped at 10% as part of their sponsorship but both artist and promoter presales are flexible and promoters adjust them in the pre sale window. Promoter wants tickets as quickly as possible so they will just up pre sale allotment to as close to full capacity.
Should’ve done the presale. There was loads left, didn’t even sell out when I looked. I’m not sure she can do another 50k.

Sold all bar 6k tickets in presale.
Prices are mad to listen to tapes.
I always thought that the presale only had a smallish % of the tickets available. Kinda pointless having a 'general sale' if there's not tickets left to sell. Ha
General sale is largely a waste of time for anything popular.
I meant for all intents and purposes.
Not totally. I was offered Gold Circle East at about 10:02, having started at 1,656 in the queue.
That's weird if you got in the queue with only 2000 ahead of you and you still didn't get any tickets. Hoping for a Saturday gig too then.
sold out on presale
I hope so. I logged on at before 10, was just over 2,000 in the queue and got no tickets. Same as yourself, was trying to get tickets for my daughter. Single tickets are no good. And that's all that was left at 10.06 Some pain in the arse.
Agree on Hard Fi, another band who I was really looking forward to see but just sounded awful, singer was definitely off his bin and they were crap.
I feel FF did the same thing before AM at EP13, pure energy and bangers for an hour.
I wonder would she put on another date, do you think? I stupidly said to my daughter that I'd get her tickets and didn't get logged on until 10.30 and they were gone.
