Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
AFI supporting them in Austrailia, sum blast from the past
Out of the Kerrang era bands left on my list id love to see Papa Roach, AFI, Jimmy Eat World, Coheed & Cambria and Limp Bizkit. Trip to the UK prob the only way as Irish promoters wont take the risk
David Gray is back again...
He likes 'side profile' pics ……………………….
Imagine Dragons added a second London date. Still possible for them to add a Dublin date
Lawd help us all! 'Ole wobbly head', as I like to think of him. Very popular on this island. Saw him support Bob Dylan, way back years ago, in Thomond Park. Not the worst thing I've ever seen or heard!
His last album 'Skellig' is really fantastic in my opinion. He's actually playing on the Skellig for culture night too.
Will never not be amusing that White Ladder is the best selling album here
White Ladder will always remind me of a 2 week holiday in Ibiza in the early 2000s. Listened to it a few weeks ago again for the first time in a while. Still a great album
"Went on a 2 week holiday to Ibiza and I listened to 'White Ladder'"
Not a sentence that has been uttered before I reckon! 🤣
Ha it became our chilled out album during recovery days. And there was a good few of them 🤣
Never been to Ibiza, or 'followed the herd down to Greece' type thing. But, when looking for relaxing, downbeat tunes, remember listening to Ingenue by KD Lang or Debut by Bjork, sitting in front of a nice turf fire in rural Donegal late one winter's evening with 2 really good friends. Showing my age - probably was 1994. Beer & wine had been consumed. Great, relaxing music. A nice memory!
A standard turn of the century coffee table favourite along with Macy Gray, Norah Jones, Travis, Lemon Jelly, Dido and Moby.
Wow what a line up of muck. Their CD's currently filling the shelves of every charity shop up and down the country.
Another "Dinner Party" CD from around the same time which survives far better is Dummy by Portishead.
There's a big show being announced soon for Ward Park in Bangor! Good chance that it could be Snow Patrol.
Saw that. And one'd imagine that it will be.
Came across this recently:
My highlight! An otherwise very good website called AllMusic. I know some of the band are from Scotland, but I think of Snow Patrol as Northern Irish!
They seem to have an affiliation with Bangor.
The only other gig I ever saw in Bangor, was, surreally, The Orb in Bangor Leisure Centre! Gig moved there due to demand, I think.
in the department of feeling old, Dummy is 30, was released in 94.
The three "core" members now are all from norn iron, used to see them classed as Scottish - Northern Irish (formed in Dundee, 30 years ago...)
Saw them in Ulster Hall last night, cracking gig and great venue, audience on form too. Love venues with a difference. Fingers crossed for Ward Park 4 next summer, the third one was all bands from the north iiirc, great set up with two stages but no overlap.
Gary said exactly the same thing about the Scottish / Northern Irish thing last night at the Ulster Hall gig.
I'm meeting Snow Patrol on Friday at their meet and greet so I could always ask them about it 😂
Christ I'm old
You forgot Gabrielle
Hopefully James Blunt gets rid of 'monster' from his setlist. It's a tear jeker
Aiken announcing live at botanic gardens in Belfast shows this week
Teddy Swims for 3Arena, 12th March
Andrea Bocelli 27-28 April, 3Arena
The price of these will be quite high id imagine ……. 😷
Great news
from €60
Supergrass touring 30th anniversary of "I should Coco" next year. UK dates only so far. Id imagine a Dublin date a certainty. Reunion tour was brilliant
