All the shows are smaller 'popups' literally announced a few days before. Should be doing same in europe from next week.
They've announced they are done, two farewell shows in Denmark next May. Can't say no to that.

Anyone here at Arab Strap in Belfast last night or heading to Dolans tonight? Feedback please. Seems like they’ve stopped doing The First Big Weekend. A pity, but it’s their Creep and they must be long tired of it.
Looking forward to them in Dublin on Saturday. Latest album not hitting me quite as much as the last one but I'm sure they'll be great.
Just checked the setlist, 10 off the new album. I admire that in a way but, similarly, the new album hasn't grabbed me so much. Shame to only see 3 from Days Get Dark as I'm still in thrall to that album. That tour in Whelan's was an unbelievable gig.

Heading on Sat to Whelans , my first time seeing them .. latest album def starting to grow on me with repeat listens. As Days Get Dark is brilliant album- pity I missed them touring that. Still expecting a great night
As days get dark is a bit of an understated masterpiece. I could listen to Compersion Part 1 all day.
That is indeed quite a line up! Could enjoy quite a few acts there - Gregory Porter, De La Soul, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Mary Coughlan, King Kong Company. And amongst the rest, there's probably lots of real good jazz.
Looking at that I was thinking they missed a huge opportunity and could have booked Kamasi Washington who is playing the Olympia on Oct 23rd and doesn't play Brussels until the 28th - but it seems he was supposed to be one of the headline acts for the Opera House and has vanished from the bill.

Kamasi Washington's Olympia gig is rescheduled to Tuesday 8th April 2025.

Never heard of him before to be honest. Looking at their wiki page, Iron Maiden have had quite a few past members. At least he can claim to be still living. 🙄

He plays lots of Iron Maiden songs in his setlist. Only thing is (for me anyway), I don't think I ever listened to his Maiden albums. Couldn;t bring myself to do it when it wasn't Bruce that was singing.

We should have more faith and trust in Reverend Moffat. Arab Strap superb tonight. Our big crew of nine went to the Róísín tonight and only two of us had seen them before. The others were pretty unfamiliar with the work and all blown away. A five-piece now with a setlist very heavy on the recent two albums but everything sounded pretty fab. Superb band and they were behind the merch stall later. You’ll have a great evening.
Does Gregory Porter include Liquid Spirit in his live shows these days?
