This just shows the complete disconnect between what you think and reality. The most effective thing you can do is give up flying which is actually quite easy if you are willing to take the quality of life hit. Then look at getting rid of your car. Everything else is window dressing and self delusion that you are doing your part. This reality isn’t something people that want to think of themselves as environmental are willing to hear. How many of the environmental protesters are doing these basic things?

Well there isn’t one, as you don’t control the countries that are the biggest polluters. The green energy drive is off shoring energy production emissions to other countries. Those wind turbines and solar panels are being shipped from halfway across the planet.

If there was a way it would involve destabilising the global order, start multiple regional conflicts culminating in a world war then release a virus and reduce the population of the planet further. Then centralise control globally and push whatever policy you want.

I’ve said I’m not an environmentalist, if you are then you should be practicing what you are preaching. I am by circumstance more environmental than most people, I get all my veg locally from an organic farm too, not for environmental reasons but for quality.

So your stance is no compromise. Nobody is allowed small concessions to help with the environment, It's all or nothing, they have to refrain from having children, cars, they're not allowed fly in planes, they have to commit to only using locally sourced things and they're not allowed phones. You're in the nothing camp, you don't do anything to help with the environment, therefore you can do what you want but tell everyone else what to do. Is that it?

I’m not an environmentalist, I eat the way I go for health reasons. I don’t have a car because I don’t need one and if I do I can hire one. My point was people will say they agree with environmentalists while being completely unwilling to make any major changes themselves. The fact is people on this thread supporting Greta and environmentalists are not willing to make big changes themselves. They are supporting something in theory until the policies pushed hit them. The big one is flying, then cars.

That's not really the case, if people want to do what they can to help so be it, they should be able to without the likes of you jumping down their neck. Plenty of people in rural areas or self employed find it impossible to operate without a car or vehicle. If they grow their own, create their own power and change parts of their lifestyle to suit they should be able to share their experiences without immediate demands and criticism from you.

Saying Greta is great and you support environmental protesters while going on foreign holidays is ridiculous. Flying is by far the biggest polluter. It’s pretty straightforward. If you refuse to accept this then I really don’t know what to tell you.
