They normally are once caught before expiring.
Thanks for clearing up the preconditioning of battery before driving guys. Yeah I will cut the cable into public footpath and recement . Most houses here did it that way . I thought untethered would attract less attention as most neighbors use the eco on a small pedestal . The zappi looks much bigger in comparison and with the cable would stand out even more. None of that probably matter but the less attention it receives the better for any complaints. My neighbours are barely noticeable and I never noticed them for months in place. They chose that set up to avoid any Karens :)
My two main desires were cheap charging and low visibility
lads you have me worried. I don’t think I used my brakes since I got the car back in march and I would be a light enough mileage driver. Should I give it few hard brakes every month ? M3H
Just to add, I had to get rear brake pads and disks replaced out of warranty (647 EUR plus 134 EUR cost of diagnosis and burnishing). I'm not the first owner and perhaps I continued trend of rarely using the brakes and not using the car for commutes. By the time I realised I had to periodically do some hard breaks the disks were already severely rutted due to build up of crap in the brakes.
It's a 2019 build so have the option of low regen still. Note you can also enter the service menu and turn off regen for burnishing if you know what you are doing.
Front driver upper control arm replaced at 35k km under warranty, front passenger lower control arm to be replaced soon now (will cost 186 EUR for parts and labour).
I rang a few garages but they didn't want to do this work on a Tesla. Cost of parts from Tesla was broadly same or cheaper than equivalents from Mick's Garage website.
Just to compare. I had the 530e in BMW last week for a service. They noted it’s close to replacing rear discs and pads too. Quote was €750.
Tesla US showing a long range rear wheel drive. Is this old stock or is there a chance this version may become available here ?

There were a few of them in the inventory at the start of the year at circa. €45k a pop.
They are fleet geared production for company leases, we got some excess UK stock last yr
There's a new colour in the US too - Quicksilver. Not sure if it's coming to Europe.
already here in the Y.
Some nice photos of the Model 3 in Quicksilver on Reddit, especially in the Performance version. Although sometimes what looks good in the california sunshine doesn't always translate to a November day in Ireland.
QS looks good here too. The new cherry red is different too. I’m boring though, I like white 😂
White is the new grey, it's the best Highland option
I’ve had white cars since my JDM days in the 00’s. I guess if I hang on to them long enough, they come back into fashion!
I once considered wrapping my MS with €2500 Multi Coat Red paint to white 🤪
VRT levels with current pricing just kill colour options
Is anybody seeing issues with Spotify not loading? I'm having to reboot the screen around once a week to get it working again.
All other network dependent apps work fine, so the issue seems to be with Spotify only.
I don't use it much, but have found it unreliable lately. Sometimes doesn't load and sometimes loses connection. I tried to listen to a podcast 3 times over a few days span and gave up when it failed the third time. Plus the creeping adverts have turned me cold.
I use it all the time and it works fine except for the odd drop in connection for minute or so.
I use Spotify almost all of the time, but what I find the last few months is that if I start playing a playlist on a drive, it’ll play all the songs done, but when I start the next drive, it’ll pick up where it left off, but will only play 2-3 songs and then won’t play the next song in the list…. And I have to open the app to start a playlist playing again…..
trivial, but annoying.
Mine never really skips or buffers etc. it literally won't load at all when I jump in the car. Happening about once a week
great to hear that. Shane is very well recommended from me.
Looking at carzone today,a 2021 sr+ for €40k- a new one (as you all know) €38k WTF?
That spec new is €47,478, your maths don't add up!
Edit: not trying to make the point that I'd pay that much more for EAP and 19" wheels but that's the actual price for equivalent spec.
Think you might be mixing up a standard range with a long range there.
Nope. M3 RWD,white paint, black interior, 19" wheels and EAP is €47,478 new. Long range is equivalent is €56,085. Pretty clear pricing on the website!
That's pretty clear too.
Your not comparing the same spec.
M3 Rwd, 19" wheels, EAP…
