Got email from Sky https://www.sky.com/shop/pre-reg/mobile
Only problem is, it doesnt recognise Irish mobile phone numbers :-)
Some people above complaining about 36 month contract but there is an option to change it to 24. Higher payments as a result but it's there.

Yes it's similar to Gomo, whereby payments are automatically deducted monthly. Doesn't bother me either way.
Still can't sign-up though. You'd have thought Sky would have had this well tested and actually working!!
Anyone know is tethering included, can't see it mentioned in the T&C's.
What mobile prefix will Sky Mobile be using here in Ireland? Or will they just use 087 as they are on the Vodafone network?
I wonder if their phone plans will be subject to that sneaky price hike that other telcos are doing now, usually 3% plus the rate of inflation yearly?
they have eSIM too it looks like
Dont think that will happen on the €15 for life plan.
Not sure about the other plan(s) (which is only one other €10 plan that I can see)
I've given up for now, too frustrating. Will try later in the day.
If anyone successfully orders, then please post your success!!
Website seems to have crashed. Not a great start.
Also their swappie phone thing - same as a 24 month contract really.
Buy the phone and plan for 36 months and get a new phone after 24.
Also S24 regular is out of stock already. Wonder can you claim the free chrome book with the sky offer?
Good question on the tethering aspect. Can't find the answer either. It's an important point for many. Would hate to have unlimited data and not being able to tether. Even 48.ie allow tethering!
If your having issues signing up online you can sign up over the phone too, or in a sky retail store if that helps anyone.
iphones coming in December
Just signed up over the phone and asked about tethering - they say it's allowed on the unlimited plan.
Must be a load trying to sign up. Dynamic pricing on the way. It'll €100pm in about 2 hours.😉
Did they give an option for esim? It says its available but haven't got to that part of the checkout yet.
Yes. they offered eSim and said the link/email would be sent straight away. I opted for physical SIM as prefer to keep eSim option free on my phone for travel sims
Cheers! Was there a long wait on the phone before making contact? Also about how long was the signup then after being answered?
Placed an order over the phone and opted-in to eSIM. The agent said he didn't know they were doing eSIM on day one.
There was no wait to speak to an agent. The total call took 20 minutes.
Ordered physical SIM over the phone. Took just over 18 minutes in total including the initial wait. Should have SIM within 2 business days.
Oh and prefix is 089
Some more info which might be useful. You can set up direct debit via IBAN, I was initially asked for this. I asked about credit card and that was fine also.
Was told that the contract starts as soon as the SIM is activated. And have 30(or was it 31) days to activate it.
Can it be added to existing Sky TV DD?
Was able to get the Sky eSIM installed on my Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It activated with a temporary 089 number while my actual number is being ported.
Strangely, calls work but data has not activated.
let us know when your number ports and how sky preforms. :)
Can't even get past the address bit of the website it keeps crashing not a great start
i had that issue aswell had to ring them
Gimp,
Of course they will.Handy revenue raiser.3% plus cost of living not to sniffed at
Your username makes you a perfect guinea pig. Make sure you run plenty of data tests. What network are you moving from?
The CPL increase is concerning me.
Price for life doesn't change it is 15euro no annual price increase.
