Correct, he refers to them as his family.
Just heard a John Waters interview John reckons its "Ireland and the Courts are mad Enoch is just fine" enough said
Simeon has only passed his exams, until he's deviled I don't believe he can apply to the bar to become a member of the law library. Until he has done that he also then can't appear as a barrister before any court.
He qualified as a Barrister and was called to the Bar last October.
I'd take only one guess at who took him on as a devil; except if I'm wrong it'd probably be considered libelous…
Yes, but he'd have the knowledge of the law to brief Enoch, even if he can't represent him in court yet.
Or I'd presume so, at least, giving that he has his law degree already and has also completed the barrister-at-law degree. I believe his area is civil law (at least that is what is on his tutoring profile).
BG?
I was more thinking someone Who also happens to have notaBle family members…
I notice Simeon is on the roll but is not a member of the Law Library.
Clutching at more straws than Worzel Gunmidge having a **** there…you were completely wrong in your post and you don’t know the backstory, just own it. Before you ask if I have any thoughts on the case…I do. Burke is a prick and it’s more than a bit noncey an unemployed man hanging around the doors of a school all day.
Some one from the school board come down and hand him an envelope "Mr Burke, here is your P45" in front of the media gathered beside him at the gate.
Right..
Would it be fair to say 90% of Irish born before 1990 would agree with his views? To be honest if I could get 100% of the people I have spoken to about this just small talk really(quite a few people to be honest)then 99% of them would be on his side.. I'm not talking about social media, public forums etc.. I'm talking about just chatting man to man man to woman.
I wouldn't have thought anyone would have agreed with him?
Is it the contempt of court, the shouting at your boss or the lurking outside a school they'd agree with?
You: wouldn't have thought anyone would agree with him!?
OMG.......
You didn't say what part they agree with.
OMG....
What's up with your tone.
It's absolutely unequivocally what the case is about.
But he let his views be known that's all.
He's in a position where he can risk letting his views be known. Without fear of losing his income.
It's as simple and as straight forward as that. Say what you will.
It's the Murdoch press. Don't expect accuracy or nuance. Do expect a strong lean into right-wing tropes.
ehhhhh. No. No it would not be fair.
I think it would be fair to say that 90% of the Irish population born before 1990 would be more concerned with the kids mental health than whether or not Enoch gets his rant on.
Transgenderism is real. Accept it. Learn how to deal with it. Learn how to support a child going through it.
Let’s just dispense with this so that posts like this don’t appear anymore.
• He has already been sacked by the school, what would the point be of sacking him again?
• He has a contract of employment which outlines the grievance/disciplinary rights and procedures. WH must adhere to this, so he has a right of appeal. If they don’t adhere to it and deny him an appeal, Burke would likely succeed in a WRC case taken for unfair dismissal on procedural grounds, no matter the reason why he was dismissed in the first place.
• If WH were to lose an UD case, Burke would be entitled to up to 2 years pay, but no doubt he would request the WRC to instruct his reinstatement, that would be unlikely to happen, but he would do it anyway. • A successful WRC claim would be seen by the Burkes as a victory, validation, and vindication. Do you want that?
• You no longer need to give/receive a P45.
• No Board member wants to be in the centre of this story, so why would they volunteer to hand him a letter of dismissal in front of the media? These people are mad, no one would welcome the possibility of being the focus of their ire, except a few loon keyboard warriors on boards of course.
So, this charade has to continue to its conclusion, we now know the reason for the delay of the appeal hearing. Let’s hope the Courts deal with the appeals without delay and WH schedule the hearing soon after.
They are qualified enough to go in and scream sodomites at the judges which is all they will do. They have no intention of winning a case.
They have in the past hired legal teams for the cases they take seriously like the predicted grades case. So you know in advance if they believe they don't have a leg stand on if Ammi is there.
I guess a lot of "new" posters in this thread cannot read
Yeah so people who are entirely clueless.
Cant imagine theres many.
No, it would just demonstrate a complete lack of understand of the issue, ignoring all the information on the topic or living in a little bubble.
Now unlike your bubble, most Irish people understand that this is all about contempt out court and if you took even an hour to research this you'd know that and also that Irish people take exception to people who commit contempt of court.
So either inform yourself on the top or stop trolling…. your choice.
Incorrect
Everything you have just said is disinformation.
I suspect what Sam is saying is that people can understand why he is in jail (contempt of court) and also support his view on transgenderism/ opposition to being made to refer to a single person by a plural pronoun.
I too have noticed in recent weeks, a rise in support, particularly after the accusations against the female Olympic boxer, some just think it’s gone too far. On holiday in Portugal recently I had a few pints in the resort bar with a few Irish holiday makers I didn’t know, all, including a teacher, expressed support for his view, and said they wouldn’t say it at home in case of some intolerant nutter jumping down their throat and telling them what they should think.
including a teacher, expressed support for his view, and said they wouldn’t say it at home in case of some intolerant nutter
Is Burke and his ilk not the intolerant nutters, no?
Of course they are, why would you need an answer to that question?
"… all, including a teacher, expressed support for his view, and said they wouldn't say it at home in case of some intolerant nutter jumping down their throat and telling them what they should think".
The irony.
Because the wing nut teacher you met in the pub obviously hasn't much self awareness.
Perhaps, but she was entitled to her opinion, calling her a wing nut for what she said would have been rude, intolerant, and made the person who said it look like an idiot.
So no one did.
