Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Wonder if he's patched things up with that last line-up after the on stage scrap or is it a new one.
Now that it appears Oasis are not adding more Croke Park gigs, leads me to speculate another act has multiple dates already booked for 2025, as there was quite clearly massive demand for a few more Oasis gigs there, and they had no gigs scheduled for after August 17th.
we all know the GAA calendar is restrictive, eg no gigs in July, up to mid August, but there is some scope in May/June. Several acts have played during these months, including Springsteen in May of this year. I noticed a price spike for most hotels on the weekend of June 20th, prices are the same’ish on the weekends before and after June 20th, and the GAA calendar looked flexible for this going off 2024 calendar

I was wondering about that too. Doubt Ryan Van Kriedt will be in the line up. Joel and Ricky will probably be there, anyway.
Anton had a health scare a while ago.
wonder will it be paul mcartney hes doing uk dates in christmas but no dublin
Be delighted with that
Would of went to one of the UK shows but Ally Pally Darts won over and would be a bit too much hassle trying to juggle the 2
The wonderful Dave Hause doing an Irish tour in February, give him a shot, you won't regret it.
Nice. Saw him on the Revival Tour, 13yrs ago apparently! He was great. The entire night was incredible, everyone collaborating with everyone else...
I still have the t shirt........
Green Lung in the Academy on 18th Feb, should be a nice night
Its all speculation here, but if i was guessing, i’d say someone like U2 or a similar big draw act, and for more than 1 night there. Probably not as big a draw as they once were, but they had 3 nights at Croke Park for the 2005 Vertigo tour, and again in 2009 for the 360 Tour.
By next year, it will be 8 years since they played outdoors in Europe, for the 2017 Joshua Tree anniversary gigs, and 7 years since they played any live gigs in Europe, so they are long overdue an outdoor tour in Europe. Ther is enough pent up demand there for 2 Croke Park gigs at least.
Oh!!
Was just thinking about them yesterday! Thought that if they came this way, I should try to go see!
Brant Bjork Trio, Grand Social, plus the Limelight, January 29/30th.
The trio features bassist Mario Lalli from Yawning Man/Fatso Jetson and Stoner's drummer Ryan Gut.
They're also in the Ulster Hall the night before Dublin. Is that more your neck of the woods?
I must admit that their last gig in the Academy was the worst BJM show i'd seen in quite some time. Still had a few moments of magic though.
Sometimes, Dreamweapon, I think you just make these acts up.
Thankfully he's not! Might try go see Brant again, think last saw him downstairs at some pub in Temple Bar, can't remember name of it, was in like 09 or 10
I jest. God bless him and all like him who bring these more alternative acts to this thread.
Yes. Mighty. Must suss out.
100% agree.
Ha! I've been hearing that since my teens. Think the first time was when i had The Mighty Lemon Drops written on my pencil case 😀
There's a presale for the BJM gig if you're on their mailing list.
Standing was 50e with fees.
Figured it would be around €50 alright. Not sure i can bring myself to shell out that much for BJM. Myself and my mates agreed that their last visit here was pretty poor. Should've gone to Algiers in the Workmans that night instead.
Hans Zimmer and the 3Arena are teasing a new show for next year!!!
Really hope it's not in May that he plays Dublin 🤞
Oasis adding two Wembley dates in Sept. Invitation only ballot.
Edit :sorry wrong thread but can't delete for some reason
A Beatle or the Stones? I reckin Mick, Keith and Ronnie will be doing the rounds in Europe next year after their US Hackney Diamonds tour this year. Hope they will fit Ireland in
808 State will play at The Button Factory on Saturday 18th January. A blast for the past for me, used to listen to them back in the day.
Aye, saw that advertised. They are darned excellent! They played a small tent in EP a number of years ago. Tent was jammers. We were all bouncing! It was great! THey've a great sound. Their more recent material is also not half bad. Well worth seeing, I'd imagine.
Played Beyond the Pale this year - very good
Yeah enjoyed that gig.
Might not be irish gig related but might provides answers to the cryptic stuff

It's a new singer so imagine a tour will come, although don't know about here. Think there's actually a few new members
