Well never thought id see the day..i know its that rag reporting it but their generally right on these kinda things. I guess thats our multiple nights in Croke Park band sorted for next Summer then✌
OK thanks but what do they include other than entry? Just trying to figure out what makes them cost 500 as opposed to 200 or whatever, is it that they have just been earmarked as the best seats available?
...
Just the word "platinum"
I'm sorry I'm loving these but 😅🤣
Ok, here's a link which says the queue is random. I guess this applies to Ireland too.
https://help.ticketmaster.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009774434-I-was-in-the-online-queue-earlier-but-was-later-on-How-is-this-possible#:~:text=Logging%20into%20our%20site%20and,is%20assigned%20a%20random%20place.
Nothing. Substitute the word "platinum" for "Dynamic Priced".
I agree I also looked on the ticketmaster website the day before the sale, and it didn't say anything on the ticketmaster website about the queue being random.
It said this .
Most people assume that a queue means that whoever is there first, is served first.
A queue being random is not a queue.
That's not what the word queue means.
So dont use the word queue then ticketmaster.
It is random.
If there are 1000 people in the waiting room, when the tickets go on sale, those 1000 people will be randomly assigned a queue number.
Nothing included, just your seat, I don't know if they're all best seats available but the pair I got are in a very good location.
Yes I'm not disagreeing that it is random.
I'm saying that it doesn't say on the ticketmaster site - that it is random.
I posted a screenshot of what it says above.
Well yes, you're right that it doesn't say it there but it says it elsewhere.
To be fair, it makes sense to do it that way.
It does say it's random.

Anyone who buys into that is silly
Platinum means you get ripped off even more
"a line or sequence of people or vehicles awaiting their turn to be attended to or to proceed."
A queue being random can, indeed, be a queue.
I had 3 devices on the go this morning, all in the waiting room. I was watching all 3 and only 1 of them changed at bang on 8am, the other device changed about 20-30 seconds later and the 3rd one about 10 seconds after that.
I don't know how their system works but I would've expected all 3 devices to come out of the waiting room at the same time.
Don’t despair yet. Keep an eye on the resale on Ticketmaster after Sept 2nd. The fair weather fans will put them up. I won’t give up hope til the gigs start.
The Coldplay discussion on here started over a year ago and the Oasis discussion already has more posts than it.
That's mental
Dynamic pricing is a good model for airlines and hotels because the consumer has a range of choice. If a flight is too expensive on one day the consumer can review a range of companies and dates that suit them. For events, like gigs or sports, it’s gougery, plain and simple. Oasis tickets are assumed to have massive demand, and there’s no other option for the consumer. Putting the price up for a customer because an algorithm decided your place in an imaginary queue is total nonsense. Trying to normalise supply/demand economics on this level is horrendous for the consumer.
if they put the tickets up at 415 quid from the get go would it sell out or would people go wtf.
I think people would go WTF. You raise a great point which goes to the very heart of the dynamic pricing issue and opportunism.
We have to thank the former Mrs. Gallagher for making this happen. She probably deserves credit for the tickets prices too. Did she not leave Noel a pot to p*ss in..
The ticket sales should be geo blocked for an hour or two to at least allow people in the country where the concert is on have a better chance of attending. The Croke park gig will likely have a good portion of people from the UK and a fair few Irish people have taken tickets in the UK. I’m sure touts from all over the world will make good money too.
easily got around via a vpn.
Better solution (for me) would be they go sale at physical locations in the country of the gig two hours before online sales.
Lack of physical locations makes that a big problem mind 😂
I wonder have tickets been held back ala AC/DC did and drip feed then?
I am guess not; the frency and numbers were there to sell out and they prob took it.
Jesus how many times. Oasis could have turned off dynamic pricing,
A solution to what? Musicians massively overcharging punters? Well yeah, decide on a fair price and stick to it. Pretty straightforward, no? Demand will be the same, same amount of people get to see the gigs...what's the issue?
Irish credit/debit card, Irish billing address, Irish IP address are all implementable restrictions for large companies.
Would it stop all foreign purchases? No, but it would stop a lot of them.
Correct. Wife joined before me and she was 16000 approx and I was 3500 approx
