Ahh, thats a bit harsh there Leggy :(
Its not bad at all…..but 7.5M ? ( and not even a big garden )
Wonder how the LPT would work out
This house is in a nice area and should be a great home but if I bought it I would still need to do alot of work - its a bit meh at the moment.
House has lovely big entrance hall thats unwelcoming and a bit of a waste of space. A bigger statement staircase could have made an impact. This doesnt do anything for me at all.
Lovely living room with 2 sets of french doors being let down by views of the stables/sheds instead of the garden- why would anyone build the outbuildings there.
Lots of windows but they seem to be at the wrong height. I would have dropped the windows lower to be able to see views when sitting down. The same window problem is in the upstairs bedrooms
I hate the kitchen layout and size. They seem have to keep their fridge and dishwasher in the utility as there is no room in the kitchen. That would drive me mad. I cant see where the washing machine and dryer is - doesnt seem to be in the Utility where they should be so could be in the outbuilding. Again it seems to have views of an outbuilding!
Garden needs alot of work. Downstairs toilet is only accessible through the kitchen and boot room - not ideal.
Overall its not a bad house but owners have ruined it in parts.
The video is dreadful - they fast forward through the house so you cant actually see the rooms.
Stunning! But if I could afford a €7.5 million house I certainly would not
be having a smelly gym in my office.
Ok I didnt see the washing machine stacked beside fridge - beside a fridge is not the ideal place for it. I still think the kitchen layout is poor.
I dont buy that blurb that the utility is currently a second kitchen which is for the downstairs bedroom - that huge fridge is not for just someone renting the bedroom! Thats estate agent speak to try make the property more attractive.
I stayed in a B&B on College Road, many years ago, while working in Cork for a short time. It was one of the most beautiful houses, I have ever stayed in.
The owners may have enjoyed a previous trip to Versailles..

When having a home gym isn't all that is cracked up to be.
I wasn't expecting the alligator 😁
Love the alligator 🐊
And the elephant.
I hope the pet headcrab goes with the current owner!
Nothing about this property explains the price tag!! Also why is there an open fireplace in the kitchen with a huge range?? Not impressed with anything about it.
much more bang for your 7 million buck here…large country estate, a village and 4 islands !

It would not be my choice of style, but I don't think its over the top, its what they chose, no problem with it, the kitchen and bathroom are neutral. The house appears to be in very good order and you could walk into it with your own furniture without doing much at all.
Now that I would prefer for my €7 million of my imaginary money!
It's all to do with the size of the site and its location - they've priced based on development potential.
Can only imagine the years of legal battles anyone trying to develop the site would have to go through though.
There is not one single thing about this I like. Worst value house in Ireland??

Invite your nine best friends around for breakfast then sit in a line while watching telly.
The stonework in the bathroom in pic 33 being reflected looks like a creepy smiling clown face. Im not looking at that while on the jax, im out.
What to hate it about 50% more? Here's the architects blurb on the refurbishment.

Great find. Wonderful to know the fitted furniture never touched the ceiling - what detail!
I quite enjoyed the balloon animal but otherwise not really for me. Is it strange to have two wash hand basins with stools in front of them? How long are you planning to spend washing your hands? I kinda like the exposed brickwork but probably not very practical
The brickwork is lovely but everything else looks like a corporate office.
Once you see it you can't not see it. And why are there pipes sticking out of the wall? Pic 21 looks like a bathroom with no door. I'd have a panic attack in a place like that. Luckily there's a crying chair in pic 63.
Not something you see everyday.
Please be advised the property is Landlocked.
Bonkers!
I understand the idea of having the washing machine and tumble dryer at a raised
level but how do you fill the drawers with powder and fabric softener etc without tipping
it down your arm or spilling it out of the drawer. Maybe people who have this set up are
7 foot tall?
Whoever designed that should be shot with a ball of their own sh!te… shocking
How will that work. Do they mean there is no access to the house without permission from land owner. So you have to go through another person land to get to your house?
When I was house hunting a couple of years ago I found a property that looked like amazing value, couldn't see why it was so cheap. So I checked it out on Land Direct, and right enough, it was land locked. There was an access path but there was no right of way over the land it was on, you would be depending on goodwill. So, moving on, found another place that I really liked but again, a check on the land registry showed a really strange situation immediately adjacent to the house, the road/lane/track across the front of the house, right up to the front door, did not belong to to house, it was part of next door's land - this was a rural set up. Again you would be depending on good will to get into your house. So its not as rare as you might think.
that is ridiculous in fairness 10 seats on an island FFS
It's like someone asked ChatGPT to make them a house and then just kept typing "Now make everything longer!" over and over again.
