There is a multistory adjacent to it!
I know but I'm not going into a multi storey and paying 3 euro parking just to get a bag of chips.
Filming going on the Gowna Grange House in Swordelstown (few hundred metres past The Elms)
I believe its a remake of Inspector Lynley Mysteries and a BBC production. Fab setting - was in the grounds once, but never in the house itself which is still in the same family since it was built
Where?
Spelling above is incorrect - it's Gowran Grange - the gliding club operates on the site too. W91 FC62

Ah cool, didn't know that.
On the right heading for Ballymore after watch house cross? Isn’t there a big solar installation going into that farm?
Yep, seems to be the same place.
One of only 3 "grand houses" in Kildare that is in the same family since it was built.
Hard to find photos of it, so will be interesting to see it on screen.
I believe it will be aired early 2025 on BBC1
Heritage week is here. Is anyone doing anything cool or special?
The tower at the top of the Hill of Allen is open. Has been closed for years , due to parties up on top, and a few accidents. But they open it for this week.

Is the Wild Food Festival cancelled? I thought I read somewhere that a singer had cancelled, and they called it off for this year. Did I make it up, or did it happen?
I'd give concessions for the particular day ticket for next year, and get in a Taylor Swift ringer to preform this year on the cancelled day. Or, have a few bands from the Naas Musical society.
Yes. Cancelled for this year. Short notice for those participating.
Seems like nothing going on in the Town this year or maybe I've just missed it.
Damn. Hope there's not a knock on effect where certain suppliers don't come back next year.
Was thinking about Taste of Kildare too, but that's a bit more expensive.
Anyone go to Taste of Kildare?
Is that where the music is coming from?
there’s some festival on Palmerston too
no that’s the district x festival in Palmerston house
Yeah, a rave in Palmerstown. I was thinking there was a bit too much boom boom for a foodie thing. Ha
Might be a good mix , Most of us 90s ravers are now the target age group for food and wine festivals
Could ya imagine. Falafel and a boogie
Did a few years ago- for something you have to pay into I thought it was very poor - any number of quality food markets for free in Dublin - I just didn’t get it -
It was in the k club a few years ago. Free in. Much better. Got a tour of the wine cellar too.
