Surely that's going to have planning issues? Much more than "permitted development" there, I'd say.
The photos of the McKee Avenue house are so distorted by the silly EA lenses that its impossible to know what it really looks like. Do they not think that someone going to view it is not going to notice that suddenly the nice spacious rooms in the photos are now emphatically smaller than they expected?
The garage in McKee Avenue is tiny too(width). I'm not sure I'd fit my own car in there.
McKee is considered one of the nicer parts of Finglas - plenty of Dubs who were born and reared in Finglas or surrounds will be happy to snap it up and pump money into it to bring it up to scratch.
Lots of garages on older houses are too small for modern cars. You could a Morris Minor in them but a modern Micra couldn't fit. It is why a lot of driveways are also made wider from the original build.
That house is a mess and needs serious updating with terrible "extensions". Back in the 70s it might of been acceptable to stick the kids in the attic like that because of being stuck for space but now it is not. The fire risks on the property are astounding for anybody sleeping in the attic

It's a lovely house in a fantastic spot and probably 'cheap' at the price given but the PVC windows are a crime in a period home. I'm not sure what the wooden barracade on the window in pic 29 is for other than privacy maybe or to keep out a draught? Not a good look either way, it looks like something you'd cover a broken window with until you got the glazier out.

i looked again and it is even more weird. on the left on the white part there is a round knob. What is that for? is it a door to storage or something like that?
Another bedroom has similar - you can see the smaller windows in one of the aerial exterior shots - they obviously decided to box off below the window to make it look more like a full window reveal. Not sure they entirely succeeded though!
There seem to be lovely hardwood windows in the family room, which must be an extension - those plastic windows in such a beautiful period house are absolutely criminal.
yes id agree, hence my comment a lot to be spent! the basement looks like a staging job too and hardly a habitable space!

They are window shutters, there is a knob on both sides on the white panels
I would expect that to go for a lot more than €1.75m. That’s a real ‘trophy’ location and at that price it’s similar to ‘normal’ houses in that area.

yes although its not the most salubrious drive up ! id expect so too, but the reality is you are probably in the 3m range if you are looking at this as its a full gut job.

The Killiney house is one of those houses where I love the exterior, the gardens, and the views, but would have to do a gut job on the interior.
I'd keep a lot of the features though, my family lived in a victorian era house in London for a few years when I was a child and the ceilings and cornices remind me of it.
I've always wanted Robinsonian garden.
Mine's only a Titchmarsh.

Like the Killiney house, beautiful gardens, beautiful exterior (without the ivy), but the interiors do nothing for me.
It feels like they were almost trying too hard? That fireplace in the hall is just fugly (and unnecessary in a house built in 1999). The staircase is fugly too.
I'd be worried that wood was thrown up to hide water damage or mould in a house with a E2 BER. It would have been painted if it was supposed to be a feature.
I hate that staircase too - particularly the way it crosses in front of the very nice window.
What I hate most are the tiles in the bathrooms - too self-aware of being “fancy”
6 bloody fireplaces! One in the kitchen and an aga.
Lovely exterior and gardens, all fur coat and no knickers interior.
