Well never thought id see the day..i know its that rag reporting it but their generally right on these kinda things. I guess thats our multiple nights in Croke Park band sorted for next Summer then✌
Well that's a load of cobblers, his voice was in great nick in Thomond park a few weeks back.
clearly not been to see him, better than ever
I'm wondering if that may change, and they end up all being 9am .
That is such a weird take
Most tickets I can see being north of €200, and they’ll easily have people to pay it. This isn’t a normal tour and feels like a once in a lifetime opportunity for fans. See a lot of people talking about travelling from all over for one of these gigs and for people willing to pay for flights and accommodation, the ticket to the gig would have to be a hell of a lot to put them off.
Yep, Liam's voice is still top notch. Was only listening to his gig in Reading i think it was a few nights ago.
Massive news anyway. Oasis could sell Croke Park out about 20 times over such is their fanbase here in Ireland. I'm not kidding that if they put 10 shows on, each show would sell out, same with Manchester and London
They are going to make hundreds of millions depending on how many shows they end up doing. The organisers of Glastonbury will be clamdering over themselves also. Imagine Oasis as the headline act!!!
Everyone needs to reply to their social media posts saying how it's screwing over Irish fans.
Bono (Lord Hewson of Killiney himself!) is a good muckeroo of Noel G so, maybe a solo acoustic set from him for one the nights. Would be special in fairness.
Nope, disaster. Never seen anything like this before? At least if all on sale at one time, your only logged into one account and going for the venue you want. With this everyone is going to chance the Dublin queue at 8am as they'll be logged in and waiting anyway. And if no joy by 9am, just jump into UK queue.
Oh I really hope that doesn't happen
Liam hasnt sounded this good since the mid 90s.
Try Maynooth / Leixlip for a hotel? Rooms still available at reasonable prices and train to Drumcondra is a decent transport option for Croke Park.
Liam's voice is nowhere near where it was in the early 00s let alone where it was before that. Anyone who thinks it is needs hearing aids.
The songs from the first 4 albums which are the very ones he will struggle with are the ones that people will want to hear. It doesn't matter if his voice is better now than it was during the final years of Oasis or Beady Eye etc. or if he is able to sing his solo stuff well.
Will the Irish ticketmaster website even hold up under the strain with the English gigs an hour later… Saturday morning is going to be absolute carnage.
There’s two main opinions on Liam - 1 is his vocals are irreversiblely damaged around mid 2000s and he somehow muddles through, a la Ian “King Monkey” Brown. The minority view is that LG vocals have been pretty darn good the last few years and he earns his corn live.
If Liam vocals are as much of an issue as some saying - rather than drop songs off the set - I can see them instead filling out the stage with strings, brass, keys, guitars up to 11, and sort of smother “Oor Kid” in a layer of noise.
Honestly you can admit you're wrong, this is a safe space.
He just toured the very first album and sounded great.
His vocals are fine. Not sure what OP is waffling on about
Saw him in 2017 and he struggled.
Saw him in June do all the Definitely Maybe stuff and he sounded perfect
Even Noel doesn't think that's a good album. He was coked out of his mind making it and made some very poor decisions. That album was when the wave broke for Oasis, even though initially it got better reviews than "what's the story". Every album they would release after it would be heralded as a return to form but would just be another let down. Thirty years since they released a good album….. Jesus the 90's was a long time ago…..
Good point, everyone and their granny will be looking for tickets
Nope itll crash. Its a very weird thing to do
I'll try my best anyway to get a ticket and i'll travel to any of the venues. The black market prices are going to be horrific though :(
why oh why are they doing it so that everyone from the UK/world will be in the dublin gigs queue for an hour BEFORE they even open the UK ticket sales ?!
Is it to Jack up the prices and the hype??
I don’t remember any other big acts doing this??!
I was planning on doing a “big shop” today but I think it may have to wait till after Saturday now 😂
Tickets more important than food this week haha
there are 3 different sites to purchase tickets for uk, we only get ticketmaster
Are MCD the promoter any chance of presale with them?
They did the reverse with Taylor Swift and had it on sale last (bar one of the rescheduled sales). Meant that everyone who didn't get tickets in Europe tried Ireland as the last resort and wildly inflated demand.
Similar result essentially.
anything 200+ will be a skip for me unfortunately. hard to justify 300 for ticket + accom for one gig.
I’ve read 50 mill for these 14 concerts
The optimist in me wants to say it's because they're planning on extra dates for Dublin…
