Well never thought id see the day..i know its that rag reporting it but their generally right on these kinda things. I guess thats our multiple nights in Croke Park band sorted for next Summer then✌
I live literally next to Croke Park. Wish been a resident would even get you the tiny perk of been able to buy a full price ticket hahaha
So does that mean the entire queue will be bidding for Dublin tickets before the UK tickets go on market??? Who the hell agreed to that, madness.
they were 85 in 2009 if I remember , so 120 be minimum. As another poster has said Noel’s made no secret about doing it for cash.
ballpark, what do ye reckon ticket prices will be!?
120-150 minimum for standard general standing I'd say.
120 to 800 or so
I like the songs on Be Here Now, but they're all way too long. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Be_Here_Now_(album)#Track_listing With the exception of the All Around The World (Reprise) at the end, the shortest track is 4:23
It's 20 minutes longer than both previous albums. Magic Pie is probably my favourite song on the album, but it does not need to be 7:19 in length.
Same as they were for AC/DC probably.
Half the World Away was a B-side of Whatever
€150
there is a residents pre sale
the gossip sites are saying what motivates this is that Noel divorced his wife and owes around 20 million 😳
So unfortunately it seems they are not doing it out of artistic, or even friendship reasons :(
There's no presale (outside of CP presale) (yet).
i hope expensive as in 250+ to keep the gobshite hipsters away. Real fans will pay any price to go, and a high cost might mean that gobshites who wouldnt know one end of oasis from the other dont buy tickets. UK tickets will be north of 100 pounds.
I'm flying back from Australia for it if I can get my hands on tickets for any date, proper YOLO event for me.
Springsteen tickets for Croke Park this year were close to €150. Can't see these tickets being any less than that.
When did it change that promoters don't announce ticket prices in advance of a show? Been going to gigs for close to 30 years and the culture is goosed, seriously.
I'm hoping they keep it to around 100 mark for standing. Liam in 3Arena was 73 + booking. Better venue, sound, view etc and was basically an Oasis greatest hits set. 20-30euro above this would be my ceiling.
Well demand and supply will dictate - I reckon there will be a cynical token few tickets at 150 minimum - bad seats limited view whatever - the vast majority will be upwards of 200
It's been a good while now. Agree, it's a horrible tactic
will the ticket prices be announced before Saturday morning I wonder?
For every one person who wont spend more than 100 quid there are probably ten more who will happily pay 250+
Not gig related but any whispers on them getting back in to the studio?
hotels in Dublin already on the bandwagon
The likes of Springsteen, ACDC etc have a vastly different target audience. And, one might argue, a richer catalogue spanning many more years behind them. If they match Springsteen prices they really are taking the xxxx.
That hour earlier Irish presale is not good for Irish fans.
is there any talk of who will support them? or is it just purely Oasis
This news will have given a lot of people a lift but unfortunately Liam's degraded voice will not be able to cope with the songs that people will most want to hear. They'll have to pick the set list carefully based on that. It's one thing Liam singing some Oasis songs with his own band and doing a fair job of it. It's quite another singing Oasis songs in Oasis with Noel and with all the hype and excitement that comes with that. More than most band, Oasis is about being youthful and having a ballsy attitude with Liam the key factor in that, if his voice is thin and croaky it will be a huge disappointment.
Liams voice is better now then it has been in decades, what are you talking about?
the will be charging Springsteen prices if not more plus it will be dynamic pricing
