Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
General sale madness on Friday in all likelihood, payday for people.
The sound at Croke Park is awful.
Saw BS and the ESB in 2016 and would never go to another gig there again.
TBH, can't think of too many acts who would play there that I would want to see.
If there were, I would probably fly over to the UK
Looks like news tomorrow
It’ll be worse than Coldplay
so it’s looking like oasis in 2025. Hopefully it’s a few shows here rather than one so better chance of getting tickets!
Sweet, dude is slick on guitar
Don't mind your Oasis...
Alain Johannes will be playing Ireland next year. Dates to follow, would assume/hope for Whelans
Good point re: the facilities in Croke Park v Slane. I was being nostalgic thinking I'd love a weekend camping in slane but Dublin or any city is far more practical.
I wouldn't be surprised either if they stick to mainland UK rather than a larger tour at this point. Plenty of Irish people will travel over
they might not be far off it is 10 nights each is initially planned for London/manc. could easily sell more nights than that in those cities
You mentioned 40 dates, no way they can get anywhere near that in 2 cities.
they might just do Manchester and London residences and earn millions upon a night with no travelling
You'd imagine it will be Croke Park if the dates suit, the boys are going to milk this for all its worth by adding as many dates as possible.
from a facilities point croke park is a walk in the park. Doing anything at Slane adds a million to the bill.
I think Slane was the only option for gigs for up to 70k or 80k attendance. In a way, Croke Park has made Slane redundant. So instead of having a gig out in the middle of nowhere with almost zero camping facilities, hours of a delay in getting home, and just an all-round inconvenience, we have a stadium in the middle of the capital city, easy to get to and depart, and with proper facilities around it. And the sound is good (on the pitch anyway). The promotors do take as many short-cuts as they can when setting up Croke Park for a gig, but I've been round the block long enough now not to get worked on those issues.
Nahh they’ll just do a few nights in Croker
Wouldn't surprise me if they do The Aviva and maybe PUC
Hopefully Liams tour doesn't take away from it. How much different would have 'Noel' there make other then the Nostalgia ?
would rather slane to croker
I sure hope not.
Would they do Slane?
Not that you’d be too picky over which night you get tickets for but imagine being down the front on the opening night
Wonder will they announce Croke Park/Irish shows too or just the London & Manchester ones ?
"Oasis look set to take over Manchester and London in the summer of 2025 with multiple vast gigs planned at Heaton Park and Wembley Stadium respectively. One rumour suggests the latter venue is booked for ten nights"
told ya
Rumours of a Gallagher related announcement going round for Tuesday
Edit:
No chance of a stadium show, biggest they ever did was 20k in the rds in 2004/2005, at best a show in the 3arena for tv, nxt was meant to have a ppv in Dublin in 2020 but then covid.
If they were to run an outdoor show in dublin it would have to be a possible close to sell out and that means maybe a 20k venue like the rds again but that's out of action next year for renovation
Poison touring in 2025
Doubtful they'd play here unless it's part of a mega tour or something
The Only Fools and Horses musical (with Paul Whitehouse as grandad) is coming to Ireland next year. Grand Opera House in Belfast from 23rd to 28th June (tickets on sale this Friday) and Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from 30th June to 5th July - tickets already on sale.
Stray From The Path in Mandela Hall and Opium, Mon/Tues 10th/11th February https://singularartists.ie/show/stray-from-the-path/
Kinda RATM meets Hardcore vibe.
With how big wrestling has gotten in Ireland (at least on the indie side of things) I wouldn't be surprised to see either AEW or WWE doing a televised show here within the next year
Seeing him solo in the late nineties, effectively doing the Fragments of a Rainy Season set, was fantastic. It's a pity he didn't bring the Paris 1919 show here.
