Aldi Newlands Cross have them too, can't remember when they went in exactly - late June or early July I think.
Aldi in Ennis have the self service too, a god send.
Only one thing better than supermarket food shopping…. supermarket food shopping on holidays! Love a nose round the supermarkets in different countries
100%
Used to always pick up a few cans of the Cullens Cloudy Lemon Cider in Aldi. It's been out of stock for the past two months. I wonder will it be back?
It was never part of the DRS scheme so maybe they've give up on it. I used to like it on a hot day as well.
Same with professor peppy :(
Casualties of DRS I'd say
I’ve taken a shine to the Alksa non alcoholic cider lately. The mention one isn’t anything special but the raspberry and lime is really lovely with a glass of ice.
Yeah the lemon one doesn't really taste of anything at all but the strawberry/lime is delicious. Of course every time I go to Aldi there's rows of the lemon but only one or two of the strawberry/lime, sometimes none!
Lol that’s probably because I was there and bright Lord of the raspberry home with me. 😀. I might see how the lemon flavour does in a shandy. It might be worth a try.
Toasting muffins still good. And the plant menu no pork patties are decent too.
Pleased to see the no pork patties back in the freezers. My daughter is vegetarian and loves them with hash browns and mushrooms.
I was in earlier and picked up 2 bottles of Erdinger Radner beer. I had one just there and it was delicious. Really hits the spot. It comes in 500ml bottles as well. It’s one I’ll look up and try and source independently as they’ll no doubt discontinue it at some stage.
Am a fan of Radler alright, pretty sure have seen it in Tesco but cheaper in ALDI at the moment going by online pricing.
Erdinger Hefe is available the whole time and is lovely 🍻
This is a sub brand. ERDINGER Brauhaus. They seem to do two varieties, the Radler and a Helles. I must try the Helles as the Radler is great. Mind you regular ERDINGER is nice too
It's not in their brochure but their chocolate covered Oaties (definitely NOT HobNobs 😉😉😁) are half price 55c. Very nice and 25% chocolate which is probably as much as is on the real thing.
where are these located in store. I’ve looked a few times now. Thanks.
I’d be the same, I believe in the queuing system 😉🤣
Nobody ever offers in Tesco Dunnes centra spar londis or supervalu, never get, nor do I want to get, why this only ever happens in aldi and Lidl, just queue, have patience and go on with life 🤣 (not criticising you for offering btw)
even better than the real thing imo
Down in the bread section, bottom shelf in a carton near the rolls and buns. Uusually someone has tried to nab all the white ones, so it may look all jumbled up
New frozen mini doughnuts are delicious. Nice doughnut:jam ratio. I find there's always so little in the big ones. Crystal sugar dusted instead of powdered too.
not the healthiest but their ham and cheese jambons are really delicious - they do mini x 8 or large by 2
spread a thin layer of real butter on them while still frozen and then pop in the oven/air fryer for extra yumminess. depending on the type of oven rotating regularly ensures even baking…
Big jambon fan here 😅.
Frozen ones are great.
Or cut a roll of aldi puff pastry into squares for your own fillings. Hot pepperoni and mature cheese 🤤.
The pastry comes up well in an air fryer.
I just had them again and still thought they were smaller so I checked the UK site where they still sell the original 4 pack that were the same size and weight as here. The UK ones are 66g each and the new ones here are 56g each so shrinkflation again. I know the UK ones were the same because I had them over there when we had the 4 pack here.

Tried the Vinho Verde, but not a fan. Quite sharp tasting. I've never found one in Ireland to replace the one that Lidl used to carry, sadly discontinued.
I'll be in Portugal in 3 weeks, I'll drink my fill of it then.
The new Ardagh sliced protein cheese is nice but the exact same as the Supervalu one which is 40 cent cheaper! Sign of how prices have changed in Aldi I guess
You should really copyright that post and send it to whoever is in charge of marketing with Musgraves.
It would be the best ever tagline for their next ad campaign.
There's probably a more suitable thread for this but I can't find it.
Does anyone have an opinion on the advantages/disadvantages of the €89 dual airfrier coming up on Thursday compared to the one currently in Tesco for the same price with clubcard?
The Tesco one is 7.4L but I can't see a size for the Aldi one.
I'll answer my own question. The Aldi one seems to be 8 litre so I'll probably go with that.
Neither of them seem to have a removable divider though.
