That seemed harsh, he didn't really have anywhere to go apart from stopping on the track before the corner.
But harsh, but you could make the argument that his team should have told him Perez was coming to avoid ending up where he did.
He held him up, it's pretty standard 3 place drop for that.
I expect sky to devote 15 minutes tomorrow in how this was unfair.
I don’t think I’ve seen a team as incompetently run as Williams currently is since the mid 90s when we had the likes of Forti and Pacific on the grid. Only Albon keeping them from the bottom of the championship, miles behind teams like Haas and RB who they were previously competitive with with only Sauber keeping them off the bottom thanks to two terrible drivers and zero focus on the current formula as they focus on 2026.
Williams failed to bring adequate spare parts to even field two cars at every race this season, and now they arrive with their big floor upgrade and they’ll have to throw it in the bin because they don’t measure it correctly to comply with the rules. I really worry for Sainz going there next year as they only seem to be going backwards but let’s hope this isn’t the case.
You can argue Hamilton is out of the way and that the only action he could have taken was to get on the grass as the sky team put to the viewers. However, the sky team doesn't pay any attention to the speed checo arrives at, the accuracy of hitting the apex for a clean exit or the fact checo doesn't know if Hamilton knows where he is. If it was anyone else they wouldn't get that level of defence.
Checo is dirt BTW, just to be clear.
Hyperbole much?
Sauber have been truly awful this year. I'd agree that Zhou has been very poor, but Bottas has done everything and it's still not getting him anywhere.
Williams is way better now than it was a few years back at the end of the Claire Williams period. Dorilton are ploughing cash in, but it's obviously starting from a very low base so it's going to take time to improve.
I reckon they're doing pretty similar to what Sauber are doing, concentrating on behind the scenes stuff and preparing for 2026. If they're still way off the pace by then, then you can call them out on it. But as things stand, I'd give them time. They look like a better prospect than Sauber, RB or Alpine do at the moment anyway...
And they only have 1 driver... that doesn't cost them hundreds of thousands…
hopefully…
Kmag starting from the pits, change of PU components.
So Sargent starts 18th without even qualifying. Not bad for him...
Was the Lewis penalty for the incident where he moved out of the way and slowed down.
I can barely hear anything Gerry.
Pressure on Lando for the start, will he handle it better this time…
Zak Brown. Minder, bouncer and team principal.
I know it’s nothing to do with the race but gwen stefani still looks great.
No doubt about it.
Artist my arse.
Took me a while to figure that out 😄
oh well played.
Lightening from Max
Oh Lando not again
Lando got mugged before the first corner.
Norris is complete rubbish at race starts
please don’t become a procession.
Typical Norris race start
Be great if Crofty could get the drivers names right
What a strange radio message from McLaren to Norris there
Yuki Ricciardo got a lot mentions alright.
Will be interesting to see will the race win come back into play for Norris if he looks after the tyres and plays the pit stops right. McClaren has improved towards the end of so many recent races.
this has stinker written all over it had too much excitment from the past few races
Love the Norris camera angle.
That really shows the undulating track. First large change onboard cameras since upgrading to hi def
Good man Lando.
