Best of luck everyone!
it’s like trying to decipher a riddle with them 😂
at least it’s moving 🤞
yes Congrats @Breni
Well done, best of luck in your new role , what batch were you in ? 4.1?
Just started the clearance process by returning forms, ID etc to PAS today. Still have no clue what stream or what department or whether or not I now have a 10% or 99% chance of landing the AP role by October 31st! Any clue anyone of likely timescales for 'Clearance'?
Thanks
Hi @FlexBrowne once you are in clearance and providing all is in order with your docs and vetting is passed you are going to get a role no doubts on that! Congrats :)
Cheers!
Can anyone recommend an interview preparation company? A few people I know used Carr Communications but weren't very impressed. Thanks
I found the communications clinic very useful.
I contacted PAS this morning and they advised that there are the same number of people ahead of me. That means no movement on open 4.2 since the 29th of July. Hopefully things will start to move a bit in the next couple of weeks 🤞
FYI, asked to start clearance procedure by PAS today. So InterD 4.3 is indeed motoring along at this point.
Best of luck to the rest of ye.
Congrats and the best of luck with the appointment when it comes!
Great Stuff hope clearance is speedy and please keep us updated on remote working if possible just interesting especially for myself who unless I get remote working options for part of the week will not be able to take the role 😀
thanks all. I was in 4.1. From getting notified about being in clearance to getting my allocation of Dept took about a week….
Congratulations.
I hope you get an appointment you’ll enjoy.
Well, got my offer already! I won't name the department/agency (as I'm getting close to jigsaw-identifying myself!), but I'll likely take it, subject to confirming their WFH policy.
InterD clearance is very quick indeed!
Congrats on your new position. would you mind telling me what number you are on interD 4.3 thanks.
@busher07 6 in InterD and Open.
That's brilliant!! very fast indeed! Hope you get the WFH you desire! Best of Luck with the new role 😀
Just to confirm, I'll be getting WFH where I'm going. My impression is that DSP is the least forthcoming with it, as well as very specific/sensitive sections of Justice.
Hi all, well done to everyone who passed the interview and speaking as someone who passed the interview on their second attempt, id encourage those that didn't pass this time round to take something from the experience and hopefully suceed next time. I scored No. 2 on the Interdepartmental & Open panels in the 4.3. I was called to clearance 3 weeks ago and being placed in a different department (with no option for remote working sadly, been told maybe 1 day per week after 6 months) than my current one unfortunately as there are currently no vacancies where I am. Good luck to everyone still waiting to be placed, im sure things will speed up now we're nearing September.
Oh is it a case of take it or leave it? Tough after such a long selection process. Maybe thats why they called batch 4.3 as loads were refusing no wfh?
It is unfortunately. Unless you're on multiple panels for example you could decline an inter departmental offer & await an open offer.
Finally confirmed that I've landed a Post in Dept of Agriculture, Johnstown Castle, Wexford. Interd panel. Starting soon, hopefully. Some journey! :-)
Brilliant @FlexBrowne 👏 can I ask you about your remote working options?
Hi. Congratulations to all who have got good news. Has anybody had an offer on the Open competition yet, or is it focused on the Interdepartmental part first? Good luck to all still awaiting news…
Congratulations @Flexbrowne, glad you got a good regional assignment.
Delighted to hear that! Hopefully worth the wait and a huge relief
Just wondering if anyone has heard if the majority of departments want you there more than 3 days a week or are they the outliers?
Unsure yet. I hear they have 3 days for most and one Anchor Day
Anyone gotten any fresh updates from PAS this week?
