As someone who doesn't own Haaland, one goal can be absorbed I think. But as I got the captaining wrong and didn't captain Salah or Saka, I'm worried now.

I'm delighted I have him in. I can't imagine the fear of not having an on form EBH, and trying to figure out how to get him in your team at this stage.
(Saying that, I do no need him to equal Salah's score this week!)
Isak - could be worse! Still though, Haaland should probably be a perma captain if you have him. Takes away the decision
Had same choice, went Haaland, at some stage he'll be rested though, so VC choice is important.

My own personal target is an average of 60 points per week, so fingers crossed I reach that.
I didn't buy Haaland for 15. So his owners are starting 3 of ESR, Muniz, Barco, Amad, Quansah etc. Very risky players forced by price points.
I bought Solanke for 7.5 instead I had extra funds to use for Saka, Trent & Jota & Solanke instead, with 1 or 2 cheap players. More reliable staple players that are more guaranteed of a start for these opening few weeks and the season as a whole.
86 with Solanke to play. No Haaland no problem, for now. First decent start to a season in yonks!

I have EBH, I have only one 6.5 mid, all the rest are 7.0 and higher including Son and I've Isaak as well. I've got Gvardiol at the back with two 4.5s and two 4.0s.
Eze is my 7, I intend to get rid of him for another 6.5 and bring in a 4.5 Newcastle defender for Barco.
If you had Salah and EBH you'd be in a position like you are suggesting people would be in with EBH only.
so basically the difference between your defence and mine is Trent vs a 4.0.

The top 10 overall all played Bench boost (I didn't check any further), except 9th who went with TC Salah instead.
I guess if they want to play GW1 let them off, just seems strange to play so soon, without DGW etc.
I played it as liked the fixtures for my bench this GW. And this season we won't have as many BGW/DGW's due to FA cup fixture rescheduling and less blanks. I waited till end of season last year and didn't work out as was too worried about bench for weeks prior and took too many hits to get to 15. Year before I pulled BB chip early on and paid off, I think James was one of my bench players who hauled big time.
I hit 17pts on my bench so I'd take that! (And I'd no playing sub goalie as made a mess of not checking who was picked after hit BB chip, as was sure it was Sels, but it was Turner who was an autopick since day 1)
What would you consider a good BB score? Even in a DGW I always said 20+ pts. Of course one player could easily go off and score mega.
Well, I could have told you Turner had Zero chance of playing 😊 …But you probably had an idea yourself from last year.🙂
Just made too many basic errors, its not that he is a disaster, just Sels (and our new Keeper) were always going to be ahead.
Not sure what I got last year, but its always a bit of a gamble I suppose, but good that your one paid off for you.
Ill let you know later in the year how I get on, especially if it mega successful😃
I knew Turner wasn't going to play, he's 3rd choice now is he? I just didn't shift him on from day 1 autopick. Would have only been to a 4.5m keeper anyway, so wasn't going to haul. Turner can sit on bench now but issue is, his high ownership is due to cause a price drop. He must have been autopick in all teams go get that ownership and then just sat on benches.

It's hard to save too much with keepers though, I've gone with Areleo and Sa Both 4.5M
There just no 4M keeper that actually plays, so would have to be an unused player to get 0.5M extra in the bank, that I supposed could be important elsewhere, but then again, if your keeper get injured?
If I did play BB this week, i would get an extra 2pts😯
But then my bench is where I saved some money, and I have Tripper and Milenković who did not play, and Forfana (DD) for some reason!!
I wouldn't be spending anymore money on defense if I didn't have Haaland. I'd spend it on midfielders and forwards.
One premium defender is enough for me. I've always done well with the cheap ones. Newcastle, United, Villa, Chelsea and a host of other teams have cheap defenders available. I have two homes versus two aways which makes it very easy for most of the season.
You have to play TAA every week.
