Well hello
now the only tickets released in the last few weeks in any numbers have been the suites tickets. Season ticket holders have first dibs on their own seats hence when the deadlines expire for first dibs you have the situation that happened of tons being released in such numbers. Suite holders just didn’t want them.
Unfair that people losing money now but never really a need buy a platinum ticket for big shows here. Always tickets about
Tickets floating about day of was always the case but I think it has gotten much more so. I've picked up tickets for a number of events now where the seller was nearly giving them to me.
Anyone a e difficulty downloading tickets for printing?
No surprise to see the biggest spoofer on here defending them.
Loads of tickets around for Taylor was there?
What is the reason for Ticketmaster and the artist only turning on resale a couple of days before a concert which is leading some people losing a fortune and being stuck with their tickets?
Was actually going to add disclaimer that out of all the concerts this year only Taylor and Coldplay (to a degree) and Chappell Roanin olympia were the ones that tickets weren’t knocking about and numbers looking are crazy.
As explained a number of times Artist management decide when resale is open. A limited resale is beneficial for artist/promoters as it means people deciding last minute will have to buy one of the spare tickets going thus increasing number of tickets sold in the venue and this increase the profit for all involved. They care about selling all the seats in a venue first, the ability of people to resell tickets is ultimately further down the line in their minds. they want to extract the maximum revenue from a show, allowing resales when they have seats to sell is counterproductive in their eyes. Capitalism for ya.
…its always important to say, capitalism wasnt actually always like this, it wasnt always this aggressive, such statements try to make it seem so, to say thats just the way it is, it wasnt, its a relatively new aspect of our more modern form of capitalism, its highly destructive and just immoral, it shows the lack of regulation that exists due to this form of capatalism, it can actually be changed, and profits could actually still be made, but the process might just be a little fairer if functioning regulations were actually implemented….
I know well why they are doing it but the way you stick up for them makes it look like it is fine and we should just grin a bare it when it sure as he'll isn't!!!!
…oh dont worry, this is already having serious negative effects, younger generation artists are in deep sh1t, which means we potentially could be coming to the end of major long term artists such as acdc, jack gibson from exodus has been in the media explaining this recently, he is regularly asked by younger artists how to make a long term career from music, and he always has the same answer, ive no advice, gibson now classing himself as a glorified t-shirt sales guy, i.e. the industry is fcuked, and this aggressive behavior from major industry players such as ticketmaster is largely to blame……
Exactly what I have been saying for the past few years. Not many artists are coming through that you would confidently say will be able to fill the 3Arena in 10 years never mind sell out big stadiums anymore and god knows how this can this be fixed and the pure greed of the biggest stars and Ticketmaster has hugely contributed to this!
Wow, I'm loving all the enthusiastic chat about the actual gig that is happening tomorrow........
There does seem to be some movement on ticket sales today with the cheaper resale tickets getting moved at about €80.
Cheapest standing ticket I have seen over the past few hours was €120 and there was a suite ticket going for €110 if you are that way inclined.
If a cheap standing ticket comes available I reckon I will go for it.
what gig is happening?
Dyslexic Nicpic …. ?
…mi sbc8ial!
I don’t stick up for them, ticketmaster/live nation are toxic monopoly that should be broken up. however when people state things that are wrong I’ll correct it. And I most of the time I simply reassigning blame to artist management as they have more control than people think and ticketmaster/live nation is a handy boogie man for what is actually the decisions of artists teams. Live nation/mcd hasn’t dumped tons of tickets to f over people with resale tickets. I simply stated that the only tickets that have put up in the last few weeks in any numbers are the suite tickets which are put up late as suite holders have them held automatically and then can decide to release them. It’s the same process with the aviva and every other major stadium and season tickets holders.
The Pretty Reckless baby!
Any suggestions for a pub near the gig, perhaps with a decent beer garden that does grub
You correct people who are wrong when Zardoz and myself repeatedly prove you wrong??Dunno why I bother with you.
Funny you say that about suite tickets as I have seen a good few in alot of other areas being released too in the past couple of days.
Anyone looing for a standing ticket - Face value or ONO. PM me . Transfer via TM app.
The Bernard Shaw or the Bald eagle will tick those boxes, then 10 minutes down the withworth road to the venue.
Brilliant! Thanks a million! They look good

Anyone hear the sound check
has anyone been to the dive bar they set up? Getting very excited for tomorrow!!!
Driving in from N7 direction. We are looking for a suggestion for where the best place to park will be? We plan on parking somewhere on the outskirts and getting public transport in. Is Red Cow the best spot or would that be a very long commute in?
…well you did say….
…..sooooooo…..
Well 606 tickets on there now number somehow rising not going down. €100 standing tickets were showing for.
We're the same and planning on using red cow park and ride. Hopefully there will be enough spaces!
seen a couple of “up in the gods” seats for €60 earlier.
