Well hello
Hi everyone,
my first time ever seeing ACDC this Saturday, managed to get 2 Gold circle tickets for myself and my younger brother (15 years old)
given our somewhat young age and also the age of Brian and Angus, it looks like it’ll be our first and last time ever seeing them so we want to have the best time possible.
We’re both big fans and are very grateful to have the tickets we have
im just wondering what your advice will be for getting a good spot in the gold circle? We ideally want to be next to the ramp that comes onto the pitch to the left as we both love Brian and would like to be on his side of the stage that he comes out from
would it be ridiculous to get there at 4:00? I see online it says early queueing isn’t allowed, are they strict on this?
I’ve never been to a concert like this before so any advice would be greatly appreciated, we don’t mind standing around for a decent amount of hours if it means we get a great spot
any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you :)
yes.. Ask yourself those questions…..
before buying.
….
Couldnt tell ya that !
They always say early queueing not allowed but there were people queuing at midday for Bruce.
I reckon if you want to be right beside the ramp you'll need to be there at 2 or 3.
Resale just seem to have opened now
Sorry. None available. Dave4445 has bought the whole damn row.
Tickets sold!
…..
Ouch. Good luck selling those.
They have them on TM as well, but they're a bit deluded about getting full price for them. There seem to be loads of seated tickets out there at well under face price.
Funnily enough I got stuck with 3 standing tickets that were no longer needed and I managed to sell them really quickly this week at 90% of face value. Suffered a small loss, but the person I bought them for who changed their mind about going will be paying that!!
I attended the Wembley Show on 7th July. I was in the golden circle and the ramp is quite high. Being close to it doesn’t necessarily give you the best view. While Angus used the ramp on several occasions, I think Brian only used it once. You will have a better view if you stay a little further back.
What’s the chances these’ll be going for circa €50 like the Pearl Jam tickets?
thanks for the info! We don’t necessarily want to be right at the barriers or anything
just don’t want to be stuck right off to the side of the stage / pitch
We just wait a somewhat central view where we can see everything well
Guaranteed, I got a seated ticket worth ~€150 for €70 the other day
…heres hoping, probably the only way to get me to go at this stage….
Loads of resale, el cheapos are inevitable. Standing there for €125 at the mo already. I'll be on the look out for the 60 price range meself before I consider.
If you dont mind me asking was it ticketmaster resale or another site?
another id imagine….
Good thing about Croke Park is it is easy to pick up a last minute ticket at huge discount, and still be at the gig on time cause the venue is so central and easy to get to. Unlike Marley Park. Had to pick up a ticket earlier in the day. I don't think tickets will go as low as €50. But €70/€80 anyway. Or maybe they will go even lower. Great if they do.
when does the resale close ?
fcuking hate marlay park, actually never been to croker, so that would be another bonus
the sound… the (bad) views from seats, the stairs down out of the stands ……
Every venue has good & bad bits.
…probably depends on ticketcunt, but i cant see it being turned off at all, could be wrong though
what are the platinum tickets?
…where you get extra fcuked…..
interested to hear what they actually are to
I've been to Marley a fair few times, and Croke Park a fair few times. And I'd take Croke Park any day of the week. The sound for pitch standing is good. The location is obviously miles better. However, the last few times I was in Croker, the organisers really did their best to make it as painful as possible. One way systems which made no sense. Small little shack for the mens toilets leading to big queues, not allowing plastic cups of beer into the stadium, but selling cans of shite beer inside etc. taking ages to scan the tickets leading to delays in getting in. But shure it is Ireland - you'll be grand.
Picked up two tickets from a work colleague who couldn't attend, hadn't banked on the resale tickets but happy to get them anyway. Paid face value at 180 each. Block 303 in row Z which I am hoping will give a decent view.
Few pics I saw from FB
Twickets, Ticketmaster wasn’t open for resale at the time. Usually on Twickets if you leave till the week of just start putting the minimum bid you can and you’ll end up getting sorted
E: Only works for big gigs
