Well hello
That link is just a pic of the AC/DC logo a
€156.75 for a standard standing ticket.
Too pricey for sure.
Load of tickets for sale on the 'AC/DC Ireland' Facebook page/group
many for 100 or less?
What's this front standing thing? Will the standing area be split into different sections, or is it just basically a pit in front of the stage. My only concern with the front standing idea is that at the pearl jam gig, the pit area was huge, so the "riff raff" were a long way back from the stage. But that was Marley Park. Croke Park is different. But I was still hoping to be close to the stage with a normal standing ticket.
imo this is going to be the new ticketing model going forward.
It won't be empty, in fact they're so confident that they can sell all remaining standing tickets at €180 that they're happy to let them go unsold at €440 for months, only dropping prices the week of the gig.
This has been the dynamic pricing model in the US for over a decade now and they're bringing it to Europe because presumably it works and is extremely profitable.
It'll be the same as Pearl Jam. Presumably you'll still get a better view on the floor almost anywhere in a stadium though than you would at the back of Marley Park.
It'll look like this. Normal pitch tickets are a fair bit back

….cost of living could put the brakes on this approach to some degree, many still feeling the pinch, with no real resolutions occurring, and more and more becoming disgruntled in regards pricing, this could come to a halt eventually, we ll see i guess….
Just for anyone that doesn't know. When Springsteen played Croke Park recently, they were stopping everyone from bringing pints onto the pitch. They were very happy to sell you 4 pints in a carrier and then not let you bring them in!
Have 3 if interested? Open to offers really
Good point. That caught many people by shock. However, as far as I recall, one of the reasons given for that is that it was around GAA season for Croke Park. And they were conscious of a large amount of spilt alcohol damaging the Croke Park surface. GAA season is over now, so may not be an issue.
I guess the lesson is - have a look at what other people are doing before going up to load up on a load of pints. If they are getting through without restriction, then go for it.
Another lesson from the Springsteen. Try to avoid rocking up to the stadium at 8, and expecting to be in for 8.10. The Irish mentality is generally to leave things to last minute, and then expect everything to run smoothly. But there may be large queues from 7.45 onwards. And the stewards/ticket scanners are not well versed in efficiency.
Thank you. It's back a long way alright. I might go for one of the front tickets. Will be last time I see AcDC. Will be worth paying the extra few euros.
what about getting water at the venue for the pitch..i presume they give it to you in a plastic bottle rather than a cup?
The public information rules for AC/DC actually state that, "No glass, metal or hard plastic bottles will be permitted. No bottles of any kind are permitted on the pitch." So you can't have a bottle of water on the pitch? This seems ludicrous.
Don't know. Sorry. Didn't get any water. For previous gigs, I don't think they sell anything out on the pitch. You have to come back out to the outside grounds of Croke Park to buy beer and food.
Actually, come to think of it - there were staff members going around amidst the crowd with back-packs selling cans of Rockshore and maybe those small cans of gin and vodka. I don't know what else they were selling.
Same for Springsteen but then the Rockshore guys were selling them by their thousands.
Pitch looked like this at the end
Yeah backpack sellers for Garth Brooks too. IIRC cans of G&T and plastic bottles of beer. Can't remember what brand.
yeah cause there was a Dublin match 6 days later. Doesn’t apply this time
Mcd won't dictate it. It's whatever the stadium offer so diageo products

Can you get hot food in Croke Park? My memory is there's SFA.
wtf ?
Jeez that is the cringiest thing I've ever read!
Burgers and hotdogs
They are class though …
Was in one for the Leinster club finals…
Thanks Nal
If they do sell bottles of water they will remove the lid before giving it to you. Gig tip: bring a couple of lids in your pocket to avoid having to down it.
Any pics from Croke Park
Obviously the stage is nothing special like the one in the Aviva in 2015 but like a good time-lapse video
3 days before the gig, and still no resale ….
