They're having a laugh asking €425k for that. You couldn't swing a cat in it. I don't care if it's in Clontarf.
I know I have seen that good few weeks ago and thought it was sheer madness. Bless DNG best at inflating the prices. I am curious do they find a fool to buy it.
I like the look of Clontarf place apart from all the bloody grey.
How the hell would you live it in though? There only seems to be a tiny wardrobe area where the desk is, grandly called a dressing area/study stuck at the top of the stairs. Where do you put your stuff? No mention of the kitchen being plumbed for a washing machine for your clothes that you've nowhere to store. Kitchen and tap designer named and Farrow and Ball paint isn't going to sell it.
Can you park in the area outside? I know it's Clontarf but is it a good area? There's 2 bolts on the inside of the front door and lots of cameras outside.
I love the downstairs loo though.
If you click around the white area indicated here that pops up and you have to click back, it's so annoying.
It doesn't come with parking, it is basically on the back lane built. It is a glorified designer shed that someone looking for 400k.
You could park I suppose as long as you don't block someone else back entrance. It is more the Marino end of Clontarf, some may not even consider that end Clontarf.
You'd fit a car in at the front of the wall and close to the neighbouring house wall. Without obstructing anybody trying to drive down the lane. Most likely would have to be a hatch back or mini. You probably wouldn't fit a large saloon or SUV.
If it was half the price it would be a great air b&b or bachelor pad for a non-driver. It's not really a home for life.
Street view from 2009…
and 2014.
"The unworthy eyes of the skangers tagging the walls of the blind alleyway below shall not be permitted to gaze upon my divine form as I vault over the bed and dresser which occupy the whole of my bedroom to reach the balcony door!"
A pig in a poke, and all yours for a mere €425k plus stamp duty and legal costs.
It definitely does. People are easily led by thins like furniture that has no bearing on what they are purchasing.
Al lot of the joinery looks very dated. Mismatched counter edge details is lazy for a designer. The vanities in the bathroom look old and cheap. Marble tiles chipping to the window. Floor tiles strangely discoloured around the shower. Potential problems underneath. For that price I would want to be buying a place that needs much repair.
Architectural onanism.
how lazy does the auctioneer have to be that s/he couldn’t open the back door walk out and take the pictures outside… pc 43-45

I was wondering how the top floor had so much room. I had to go into street view to see they are taller than a standard two story house.
In fairness, you can play Classic Concentration in not one, but two of the bedrooms. Number 7, oh a doc martin, im sure the other one is behind number 22.....
Also wasnt expecting a piano.
maybe had no key, looks good value :)
https://www.daft.ie/for-sale/house-rossan-corriga-corriga-co-leitrim/5766020 Bit of an oddball but I like the idea of plenty of land. I'd have loads of fruit trees, raspberry, blackcurrant bushes etc. I'd absolutely plant a good portion with trees, have chickens etc.
33 photos before interior shot?. Must be a record
I'd say it's a wreck inside, but the bones of a great house are there if you had the money to strip it back to four walls, insulate and reconfigure it. The kitchen is far too small for modern living for a start.
For the golf fan in your life who has everything, you can now buy them their own golf course. a snip at €35m

well that was confusing. your link goes to a house in leitrim.
That was posted further up the page. I wonder if it's a boards issue as you can clearly read the link in his post is in Brittas Bay, Wicklow.
Here's the link.
The text says Brittas bay. But the embedded link is the house in Leitrim
Definitely a boards issue. I posted a clear link but Boards didn't see it as a clickable link.
weird, I may have messed up by pasting the link to the Leitrim house, but its weird that it is showing up as the wicklow golf club.
Aha, yes, I messed up, apologies. Link now fixed in my original post, I think.
It shows for me, I'll link it again.
Edit - I see it was fixed.
it was subsequently edited and corrected. the text said brittas bay but the actual url was the house in leitrim. you can see that if you hover over the link in my post #15298 where i quoted it.
Kitchen by "Lube" ....😄 you'll need it!
I remember the lad building it himself with a digger, day after day. Not a bad return for scrub land after what must be about 35 years.
