It Is all cause of the E.U. Form the 1st of September the 100ml Liquid rule will be back in Place

does anyone have any idea what Shannon to jfk is like in business class with aer lingus? It looks very cheap compared to most other business routes, so I’m a bit skeptic. Is it the full experience or limited in some way? I just want a lye flat seat, after that I don’t really care.
It’s the normal EI business class service with a lie flat seat. I find the seats quite comfy myself.
Would anyone know when Shannon JFK with Aer Lingus flights usually release? Looking to go on January 1 and return on January 5 but only available to January 4 at the moment
There are reviews on YouTube from the usual suspects.
I was upgraded to business on the A321LR last September and thought it was great.
It's released, JFK takes a break in Jan/Feb. Last year it came back mid February, it was usually March in previous years.
Bad news on the jobs front for Shannon it seems.

Being honest there was not much cargo, ever going in or out. be luck if there was 3 or 4 dollies going in every day.The building inside is very old & falling apart Painting it doesnt really help it.They knew this time was coming anyway it was only a matter of how long more.
It's bloody ridiculous.
We are flying in a few weeks, shannon was great because you didn't have to go through all that nonsense. Will be checking bags in now, with liquids in them.
All cause of the EU, there is uproar over it.It will be the same coming back now as will so be careful
Surely the lads in cargo will just be transferred to the ramp? Don't see many job losses from this
Most of them are on the ramp as well.Except for 2 i think that only do warehouse. they might take the package be easier for them
Figured as much, a shame to have such a huge empty space but nobody else is going to take it on.
Ya it is But Needs quite a lot of updating & repairs. most of the stuff in it is faulty or broken & not replaced/repaired.
It needs a big boulder, its genuinely not fit for purpose. With time the space may gain an alternative use.
It won't happen but would definitely suit one of the FBOs. Potential hangar and office/lounge space.
Freight is down by 10% for the first six months of this year.
would anyone know when Ryanair might release Easter 2025 flights from Shannon. Looking to book to Barcelona. Thanks!
Few months yet, normally not until the winter season is commencing. Probably around October.
thanks for the reply, really appreciate it
edit to this post. It was actually 20 full time warehouse & 4 retiring.
When the A330's arrived it sounded the death knell for the old DC8 cargo service as it carried the full sized container internally.
Cargo was an integral part of the operation.
The A320 carries the half sized container.
Its surplus capacity to carry cargo probably was limited.
Based on the staff numbers quoted I suspect it was also an opportunity to clean house.
Agree , the intervention by enterprise minister is some crazy kite flying too. Afaik they only need to notify department for redundancies of 30 or greater.

On mature reflection this should be welcomed by Shannon group, they can do alot better from that real estate then Aer Lingus current cargo offering.
Maybe posted already but this article mentions Shannon JFK Delta flights not appearing for Summer 2025 even though other routes are. Does this mean it's definitely not happening? I wonder were load factors this summer less than anticipated. A shame if it's officially dropped!
Doesn't mean anything yet.
It seems fairly possible it won't return, but nothing written in stone yet.
Shannon-JFK is on sale now with delta for next summer. That articles from mid july.

TUI are also resuming Shannon-Palma for Summer 2025.
Thats great to see. After a few year of growth , retention of routes and gains like this are probably where things are at. I'd still hope to see Aer Lingus add Faro
Great news. It seemed to only be speculation that it wouldn't return, rather than anything substantive.
24 hour bus service between Limerick city and SNN via Bunratty and Shannon Town on the expanded 343 route service. This is great news.
