always find it funny when people complain that bands with political songs also speak to political topics occasionally between song chat. People singing along to the wallopers the idler lyrics complaining about political messages.
Some things are bigger than music at the moment. Fair play to the them for having the balls to speak out. If you don't like their politics then that says more about you.
Rather bruce types myself and greenday last gig non stop music. I get enough politics everyday at work and on tele. Each to their own though.

I can't recall hearing of a festival restricting access from the carpark to the campsite for people with wristbands before.
They've buses leaving until 2am so they'd want to be letting people out to board them.

As I said my last greenday gig and bruce gig was all music. Political songs are fine they alone tell me about their leanings. I pay to see them play songs like I pay to see hurlers play hurling etc. Again just my opinion, many disagree but wallopers lost some crowd yesterday due to it.
Yea my friend tried to drive back in after 10pm on Friday(he already had a wristband) but no gates were open, luckily he found the Gardaí who escorted him in via the back of a paddy wagon
I've a feeling anybody who left the Mary wallopers yesterday due to "political" messages didn't actually understand what they said and what their actual political leanings are.

We are local and went home with the kids last night around half 9 before heading out again today. Fellas were hoping the fence handy at the gate nearest to the entrance by just climbing the gate and over the fence.
They had security standing down there this evening a short while ago when we were leaving. They were also pleasing with people not to transfer wristbands.
A lot more checks around the place inside today too
They were exceptional. Any non music message was bang on point too. Especially regarding far right and Irish people being anti immigration
