Trumps ear after it was grazed by the bullet. Hard to believe the conspiracy theorists are still denying this especially as the FBI confirmed he was hit by one.
of course he was hit by something. But what he was hit by is not yet confirmed, and it has healed remarkably fast.

it will be a moot discussion anyway in a few days or whatever after the FBI gets their victim impact interview from Trump, the agency will likely put out a release confirming what hit him or how injured he was following Chris Wrays comments in Congress last week

But has anyone asked why Trump was not dragged off the stage as fast as possible as is protocol?
It seemed the secret service detail around trump had been getting laxer and laxer and was rotating in with agents who wanted to work with trump as a plumb position. Sounds like a bit of a f*ck up top to bottom.
Procedure is usually to carry the person off with the body off the ground so they can't stand up and make themselves a target again, so they didn't even get the basics right (even if it allowed him to get that photo).
Need a fair few agents to carry Trump!

I cannot imagine he is well liked in the secret service in general, I'm sure there is fan boys and girls though.
Either way not dragging him off the stage was a massive security failure.
It seems none of the 'local law enforcement' who became aware of the looming threat on the roof made any attempt to initiate that. Whether that's because they didn't have the relevant contact numbers or it never occurred to any of them in the heat of the moment is unclear…

If the FBI are happy to state that he was grazed by a bullet that's that I suppose. I really didn't think it was possible outside of a Hollywood movie for even a graze from a bullet to do so little damage!
New footage from ground level shows the shooter crawling across the building prior to shooting him.
There are a few crazy aspects to all this…
You have to understand just how incompetent the USSS has actually become to avoid the logical conclusion that this was some kind of inside job.
There was a number of cops trying to get a view on the shooter on the roof in the minutes before he shot, members of the public were shouting and were clearly distracted by the unfolding events, there were snipers in the building the shooter was crawling along the roof of…the USSS didn't notice a thing!
There was no briefing the day of the event with USSS and local cops.
We still don't know anything really about the shooter. I believe because of a cover up of incompetence and not something nefarious. did he have bombs? IF so, how sophisticated?.
The media don't seem to care about this story…which is odd given how much coverage Trump normally gets. They have just walked away from this.
Google/Facebook have been caught rotten trying to limit the reach of the story.

Were they assuming was 'friendly' because he was on the roof of a building they had been told (we presume) was being used by local security as a base?
Pretty crazy that no-one really cared and people have moved on.
I would find it hard to believe they SS or any other security would take him as a local security individual. The age, appearance ie uniform or not and even the type of weapon he held, all of which would be apparent to any other "snipers or otherwise" who did have a view of him!
It just seems unbelievably lazy and complacent of supposedly elite security professionals if they did spot him moving around on the roof some minutes before he opened fire and just assumed he was local security. I would have assumed someone in their position would as a bare minimum (a) immediately and indeed frantically sought clarification from their superiors as to whether any local security were supposed to be on that roof and (b) watched him like a hawk and the instant he appeared to be raising a weapon in Trump's direction "did the needful"…
I believe there was a tree in the line of vision between the snipers on the roof above Trump and the roof the shooter was on, and it's unclear if those snipers shot the shooter or if it was a different sniper team that were further away. And it has been suggested that they didn't know if that was a local cop on the roof.
But they would have had to have noticed the commotion going on around that building, there was the cop who attempted to confront the shooter, but there was at least another half dozen swarming around the building.
This guy got at least 7 shots off.
This is why I miss the old media back when they weren't riddled with agendas and narratives…this would be a huge story if it were Harris or Biden got shot by a white man.
It was a big lapse in security, and the shooter also got very, very lucky. People watch TV/films and think the secret service is infallible. There have been many assassination attempts over the decades, they'll learn a tough lesson from this one and very likely recheck all their methods, protocols, etc.

They probably figured the last person in the world for an assasination attempt, was Trump and the last location ever would be at a Trump rally. So they had the B team of SS out to bat for him, or even the C team. Newbies, trainees maybe?
