One more sleep till tickets go on sale.
Looks to be the same as last year tbh, except pink moon is where family camping was.
Its a generally much quieter route though.
How? Last year the family camping was in the way, no?
That's not my read. Pink moon moved to back end of last year's family camping. Family camping now pushed a touch forward and right (east?). A new walkway towards the arena passing both family camping and pink moon.
Yes you could do this last year, get to the lake and you had to go right to walk around it. Could you go left last year? I didn't think so. Also I can confirm that last year this route was closed at night night, not sure what time they closed it at though.
Absolutely delighted, great way to kick off Sunday
If I'm wrong then sweet Moses we got seriously bad steers from security/stewards as well as a crazy amount of extra, unnecessary walking :-D
Weather looking pretty decent in the latest model predictions.
Thursday night dry.
Friday, maybe a light shower around 7pm, but very minor.
Saturday dry.
Sunday dry until about 7pm, then probably some showers with the worst of it around midnight, but nothing too bad.
Cloudy/hazy sunshine most days, with temps in the high teens most days.
Thursday daytime looking pretty hot (up to mid-20s) but back to mid-teens by Friday morning.
That Sunday weather could easily change to be better as so far out still at 5 days. Imagine it, 3 or 4 days of dry weather. Be great
Ah I see, I'm pretty that path was there last year, but basically nobody was using it.
Warning: music related first world/spoilt brat related gripe!
Getting very excited /distracted at work and was looking up Prodigy set lists from their recent July shows in Europe. Since their amazing Isle of White set they seem to have dropped the ‘Climbatize-Everbody in the place combo. Everything else is the same. I’m hoping it’s a timing thing and they dropped them as not the headline/final act at some of the shows.
How can I contact them or start a petition to beg them to play it at ATN (I’m only half joking 🙃)
not sure if this is permitted here, please remove mods if so. My mate cannot go now and I’ve a ticket at €200 if anyone interested. Please PM me.
I'm all for that, love the early 90s vibes of the prodigy's early stuff
Ah no. Was really looking forward to Climbatize
I hope I’m wrong and it was just left out due to shorter sets in some of the shows. Even so I’m sure the set will be amazing way to finish the main stage on Sunday
Forecast keeps improving 😀, rain for Sunday has been pushed out to Monday, slightly more afternoon showers on Friday but I'll definitely take it if it stays like that.
I'm seeing 7.4mm of rain on Sunday
Met Eireann showing a bit of rain on Friday afternoon, and that's it..
Forecast looks good, breezy on Friday with maybe a shower, Saturday warm and dry, and Sunday looks decent maybe some rain late Sunday night. I'll take that.
Not on met Eireann anyway, assuming you looking at yr, it tends to overestimate rain a fair bit, that's why I stopped using it.
Carlow weather agreeing largely with Met Eireann. Bit of rain & gusty wind Friday, good day Saturday & less rain than previously expected on Sunday & not until late Sunday evening at that. I'll take that!
We are deserving of a decent forecast after last year. Not the wettest festival ever, but the underfoot conditions were definitely up there for some of the worst.
I take it the “opening of the cans” bit isn’t policed?
That sentence is present in the app, not present on the website.
I’m pretty certain that is a NEW sentence in their policy and I’m going to assume it’s a mistake in the mobile app rather than a change in policy.
The two years I have gone, it’s been fine to have unopened cans in the arena - as many as you want.
Nah, Google weather on my phone. I find it to be extremely accurate in most cases, however, it does suggest rain is less and less likely. So fingers crossed!!
Mainly because he gets his 'forecasts' off there too !!!
Im seeing rain all day Friday on yr
we are met eireann loyalists here 👍
Last year yes, previous years not so much.
No he doesn't, he interprets charts same as any other forecaster. I find him quite accurate actually and I'm in a business where weather forecasts are important.
