Huge result for Dublin. Like Waterford last year its great for the game in general to see more teams come up to the standard of Cork, Kilkenny and Galway

Kilkenny have dropped rather than Dublin improving. That’s 100% the case rather than Dublin hitting the levels of the top teams. They’ll get annihilated by Cork or Tipp

Small bit of positivity would be nice….Dublin are definetly improving and well done, i dont think Tipp beat kilkenny by much in the group.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,369 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

The groups didn’t matter. Kilkenny weren’t close in the match. Great finish for them back within 3

For what it’s worth, I fancied Dublin to win today

Kilkenny are fcuked under Cleere. Terrible bad manager. He'll be gone …..

    Katie Power retiring too ?

    Waterford were poor also.

Tipp favourites id say for All Ireland win…

Imagine putting on the Senior and Intermediate Semi Finals on… and force supporters to drive from Kilkenny back over to Thurles if you are a Cork supporter. ……

No love lost between Galway and Tipp managers at full time.

Did I hear somewhere that County’s 2nd teams are being decoupled from Intermediate?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,369 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

There’s no talk of that yet anyway as far as I’m aware.

    There’s 2 options I think:

    A) 2nd teams have their own comp… but then you’d have clearly weak teams not good enough for Senior getting into Senior when they win Intermediate

    B) 2nd teams should be restricted to U21s or U23s (the fairest option in my opinion)

Senior is reducing to 10 teams in 2025 so that should help things a bit. Antrim and Down relegated with nobody promoted from Intermediate due to an all 2nd team final

Tipp’s 2nd team gonna win Junior, so you’d feel for the other county’s 1st teams

    Camogie is so bloody one-sided.

The gap between the top few teams and the rest makes it a challenge to get fans interested.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,369 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

Definitely. Hence the need to trim the Championship Groups up a bit more. If they need to reduce Senior to 8 teams, they should.

Marketing of Camogie hasn't progressed past 1998 I'd say either. It's a joke.

Looking at Dublin v Cork ,I know Dublin started ok but after that I would wonder how they beat Killkenny .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,074 ✭✭✭✭greenspurs

That will tell you how bad KK were against them !!

So poorly set up, and then the players compounded the managements 'tactics' by not performing at all … Headless chickens stuff !!

I usually hate the cliché but Kilkenny are genuinely a team in transition. Their senior squad is poor after losing not only key players but their best players this year.

If the Intermediates win their final, none of those girls will be allowed play Intermediate next year, so you’d expect some of them to freshen up the Senior team. Even if KK lose the intermediate final that’ll still probably be the case.

They were no hopers this year.

But when the management team dont know their best 15, the players dont know what the managements best 15 will be….?!? doesnt help! They had a better team there than what their performances showed….
Dropping in form players, for newbies, and then taking newbies off …. ?!? Crazy….

Too busy canvassing and appearing on podcasts, where he tried to pass it off as 'picking the best side to face the next opponents' … ?!? Didnt work Chap, did it …??? Spoofer.

Danielle Morrissey is carrying that Intermediate team, she is flying… Some good camogs there , and another meeting with Cork !! It will be interesting !!

Senior Final coming up to half time has been a top class match. Really enjoyable.

Intermediate and Junior finals were poor. It’s a massive gap in fairness.

Ah it was poor quality. Both goals really bad too, in particularly the one Cork conceded. The match was so slow and the gap drop to Intermediate showed.

It was a close hard fought game, full of excitement, that was in the balance all the way to the final whistle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,369 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

Great Senior match there. Liz Dempsey a horrendous ref but that’s known

    Better team won.

Corks defence was teak tough !

Cork had a bench, Galway didn't.

Cork retaining their title, 30 now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,281 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

That's tough for Galway. Can't be too many counties that lost three of the four senior finals in one year.

Just caught second half, Cork looked the better team and deserved to win it.

I thought the goal was odd, did the Cork player actually hit the ball into the goal or did it roll in from when she threw it up? Commentary team didn’t mention it so maybe I was seeing (or not seeing) things. It was probably a penalty anyway for a pull back

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,073 ✭✭✭C4000

She didn't seem to make any contact with the hurley.....umpires should see that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,555 ✭✭✭Rebelbrowser

Yeah, should have been a penalty not a goal. Ref did his best to even up for Cork after Johnny Murphys performance in the men's final! Felt Cork were better team just about though
