Still haven't said which of them you have in common with him as a supposed man's man.

The reason people who post pro Trump rhetoric on this thread tend to get criticised is that there is practically nothing positive that can be said about Trump that is actually true.

Complaining about being criticised for praising Trump is akin to Trump having a meltdown because someone has the audacity to fact check all the lies that he constantly spouts.

He has also, on multiple occasions, discussed his daughter Ivanka in a sexual manner...

Given the fact he's openly admitting to not following his campaign team's advice is not a sign of a sharp individual.

    You must tell the jury...

Never once posted anything positive about Trump. The problem here is this election is not all about Trump/Harris, it's about a society which is practically split down the middle. The democrats helped create the vacuum for a trump character with their governing over the last 20 years. As I have asked already and no one on here can answer who do you vote for besides trump if you are a republican voter ? There is no other option

This is not remotely true. The divide in America was manufactured by the Republicans who weaponized religion to shore up their declining vote share. It's entirely performative and why the Republican rhetoric is built on a pyramid of lies.

Thank Reagan's and Newt Gingrich band of merry men for the state the country is in. The Republicans were not dominated by religious fanatics until they transformed the party into the party of grievance.

I think the creation of the FrankenTrump can be traced back to the Tea Party movement.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,922 ✭✭✭paddyisreal

Ah so it's all the republicans fault. Some people are religious and dont agree with the democrats way of running their country hence they vote republican ? What's the problem ? Religion and politics go hand in hand so to blame it on Ronald Reagan is just ridiculous

i think maybe that was part of the appeal of Biden. The Dems got to keep the maximum number of demographics satisfied.

They were Left-ish but not an identity politics left, and were a healthy alternative to Trump and the culture war. Obamas VP with a non-white female running mate a nod to minority voters. Standard old white guy a nod to the white voter.

The implicit message was that this was a centrist/center-left moderate and compromise party. The normality option.

Had Joe not been so old and doddery they were on to a win. Now theyre going with Kamala, whos started off by getting her message out via an appearance on RuPauls drag race.

A very different message about what the party is about. And what voters an expect.

Bailey had a borderline personality" based on "narcissism, psycho-rigidity, violence, impulsiveness, egocentricity with an intolerance to frustration and a great need for recognition".

The Democrats do not mix religion and politics and that is much of their appeal.

The Republicans have had a declining share of the vote for decades and only the electoral college has masked this. It's been ages since they won the popular vote. They are a party heading for extinction and Trump is a symptom of that decline.

The so-called "man's man", TRUMP is RUNNING SCARED of debating Kamala Harris, because he knows she'll DESTROY HIM.

    Pathetic.

    * I used CAPS as MAGA types seem to respond to that.

There's multiple Republican groups backing Harris.

I haven't seen Democrats negatively impacting the rights of religious people. There is a separation of church and state but that goes back to the foundation of the state which appears to be lost on some Republicans admittedly. If anything Republicans have actively targeted Muslims so are the party that have gone after religious people.

How utterly, predictably craven from Trump. There is not one ounce of conviction in his body. There are no policies to defend, just insane ramblings about Hannibal Lecter and confusion about what an Asylum Seeker actually is. Seems terrified that he might have to get on stage with someone who’ll call his bullshít out when they hear it.

It’s mind boggling that people can look at this man and think he’s some sort of American champion.

If Harris runs a clean campaign she will sweep the board. People are sick of the Republican theatrics.

You cannot win an election appealing to a fanatical idol worshipping base.

Trump does not need to waste him time giving the side chick a spotlight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,709 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

He knows she'll DESTROY HIM in the debate.

That's how Trump speaks so maybe you'll understand it.

He's is just trying to desperately cling to the support he has got. He knows if people see him ranting on the same stage and see Harris putting forward a positive vision for America, he has no response except lies, hate and insults.

what an insane choice of VP, he alienates so many voters. Nikki Haley was the obvious choice, picking her could have won Trump the election.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,709 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

Ah but Nikki Haley didn't bring in the big buck donor cheques a stooge of the elites like Vance does.
And the RNC burned through so much cash with Trump's "issues" and the primaries (because Haley made Trump campaign).

The old Republican Party (pre-Bush, current Romney) was headed for extinction which is why they were powerless to prevent Trumps takeover. The new republic party is targeting traditional Dems - blue collar, non-college educated, as they’ve identified the dissatisfaction in this demographic. Upperwardly mobile non-whites are also not breaking fully Democratic as they move up in the world. The Teamsters Union addressed the RNC this year - that would’ve been unheard of in my lifetime.
This new Republican Party is on the populist wave and is not heading for extinction at all, particularly if the Dems don’t regain some of their traditional base that are drifting right.

Thats the only way it makes sense isn’t it ? They wanted that rumoured $45,000,000 a month from Elon.
The RNC also burned through a lot of cash because of Trumps legal woes.

Been surprised at the lack of enthusiasm for Harris tbh..

Taylor Swift is very much her own woman. Much of her music is about empowerment of women. I really can not see her giving support to Trump.

I thought the whole idea was that the proposed Presidents debated and the proposed Vice Presidents debated. Who those individuals were is not relevant. Why should it matter whether or not Harris is nominated? It should not matter, Trump debates whomever the Dems put forward. His refusal is just another boost for Harris.

Is she the President now? Biden was supposed to meet him…

The demographic trend is exactly the same as in the UK, the age at which you switch to voting Republican is getting older all the time. This is a death sentence to a party which has decided to focus on older white Christians. The Republicans did the analysis and this why they have been push to get in and implement Program 2025 - because they know their days are numbered otherwise. There agenda looks like a dictatorship because that's the only way they hold onto power.

Bidens Campaign Co Chair Cedric Richmond has confirmed Biden was basically forced out of the nomination by big donors in favour of Kinky Kamala. But remember he was really passing the torch 😉.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,209 ✭✭✭eightieschewbaccy

You can keep saying "Kinky Kamala" but it seems to amount to you being uncomfortable with a woman having sex. If Biden had lost donor support, yep that would absolutely affect his decision. So what? I'm waiting for your big gotcha as you continue to support a rapist and fraudster.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,922 ✭✭✭paddyisreal

Yes filling a vacuum created by the democrats ramming their agenda down people's throat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 31,729 ✭✭✭✭looksee

You still haven't told us why the 'kinky' in your rather immature nickname for Kamala Harris. Not sure why she needs a nickname - except of course that's what Trump does, and that makes it imperative I suppose.

that’s only half the story. Dissatisfied non-college educated people (mostly men) are being targeted by the Republicans to bolster their numbers. That’s the backlash to the social liberalism of the last few decades. Traditionally that whole demographic would’ve been Dems, as they’d be blue colour, union folk.
But they’re not breaking fully that way at all anymore. You’re right in that Dems will win the popular vote for the next while but wrong if you think the Republicans are just old and white.
