Could you plan to put on a wash outside of these hours? If so, a lower temperature uses between 35-59% less electricity than a wash on high temperature. As well as this, simple steps like ensure all the lights in unoccupied rooms are switched off in your house.

Try to avoid ironing tonight, did you know if you hang your garment in the bathroom after a shower the hot steam will remove the creases naturally. Please ensure the room is fully ventilated once finished to avoid any condensation issues.

I was thinking why not have a thread dedicated for these? some of us are signed up for text/email alerts - might be useful reminder to have it posted here as well.

You can convert them to digital cards and then they work as a normal debit card. Iirc. Personally I am glad you can just convert the new ESB cards to Tesco / Aldi / Lidl barcodes that easily scan in. As good as cash really. Did the same for a pilot C-ITS (traffic management) scheme I am in and will do the same for the FlexCharging €150 bonus scheme I am also in

IMPORTANT! If you are NOT getting regular rewards - have you checked your ESB account lately? I noticed today that to earn a reward there is a requirement to have the MPRN registered. i KNOW I had mine previously - but today I checked and it wasnt there. There is no correlation with individual meter data and the pilot. The first one, not all got gift cards, but afterwards everyone did.

But you have to fill out the survey, 3 surveys, €15

We signed up to ESB Peak Events a few years ago. However, as we live off the battery pretty much all the time, the ESB must assume the house is empty and never increases or decreases usage when required. Consequently, we haven't received a sausage from them.

You literally don't have to do anything but to do your bit perhaps avoid using heavy load items like the oven during the two hours.
