Who gave her the job and who picks the new one ?
Biden administration, you know, the administration who are constantly appointing people based on colour, gender and sexuality, the same administration that is collapsing right before us!!! This latest mess could have sparked a political crisis like we haven't seen in decades. Everything about this lot is shambolic!!
settle down she was also on Dick Cheneys detail during 9/11 and been with the service since ‘95, and was the deputy director under Trump - jumping to calling her a diversity hire just reveals sexists as sexists.
Well, any person, man or woman who is responsible for this should have walked instantly. She didn't. She told the nation there reason there wasn't a sniper on the roof nearest the stage was because it was too slopey.
She might have made a great number two, or Secret Service officer, but on her watch as Director she has destroyed the reputation of the organisation. IF you got a role because of your sex, then you don't get to call people who justifiably criticise you "sexist"….this isn't the director of a gender studies department in some liberal art college we are talking about, the US just about avoided a serious escalation on her watch!!!
It's why I am looking forward to watching the Democratic campaign over the coming months, that party is riddled with incompetent people like her!

Well I might be on to something seeing as the boss woman of the secret service has resigned out of nowhere after literally refusing to answer questions to the committee yesterday.

I think she has been the problem.
They are behind in their recruiting numbers by over 1,000. One of her most public priorities was to have 30% of the Agents female by 2030. We all saw the consequences of that last week.
The problem with DEI policies is that they put off new recruits, a large part of recruitment is done through family or friends, most men in military or seriously dangerous jobs do not speak well of these policies, they are a disaster, numbers are down and apparently, morale is on the floor. Oh, they typically produce leaders who avoid accountability which prolongs the incompetence and damages the entity even more.
No wonder the corporations are ditching them.
Thats not surprising. Remember after 9/11 Bush and Co refused to cooperate with Congress by classifying documents. Now Bush is one of the worst presidents ever, but agree with him on this one. Something along the lines of "Its important we dont let people know how we gather information, thats what the enemy wants".

Being suspicious is great but different to "not believing the official story for a second" with no evidence whatsoever.
The official story is one of incompetence. They fucked up. Theres no evidence to suggest anything else. Yet.

They have over 330 million people until recently had a "showman" President who lives his life like a reality TV series, and another with advancing age/parkinson's/dementia.
Not only that you have someone who was Director of the Secret Service, who you would not put running a community centre.
And the civilians in America have about 120 guns per 100 people (the most in the world), that is approximately 390 million guns.
I am just glad I live in a country that is low on hysteria for the vast majority of the population, and I do not have to worry about being shot or shooting someone else.

We are discussing the shambolic state of the Secret Service and its incompetent Director. That same incompetence is what we are witnessing right now in the Democrat party….and I'm speculating its for similar reasons.
The issues the Republicans have had in the Speaker position, has nothing to do with the type of shambolic incompetence that almost caused the death of Trump last week which could very well have prompted a much more serious political crisis, not just for the US, but for the broader world!!!

This is all happening within days of each other, the shambolic performance of the Secret Service that we all witnessed, and the shambolic state of the Democrat party…we've had an assassination attempt on one guy, and the other guy has been ruthlessly forced out of the race in a very unsavory and public manner and has now disappeared from public view for nearly a week….and you think the two aren't related in any way?
