They play a Bruno Mars song at least once an hour. He makes me irrationally angry.
Yip, and a reason I don't tune into Newstalk any more either. Or iRadio.
Rte have been the real winner in the Cash Machine overdrive.
You will hear it mentioned on all the Bauer Media owned stations, which is quite a lot now!
I have mostly stopped listening to it over the last 6 months or so, I find the constant Cash machine adverts annoying.
Absolutely meaningless, that means that literally less than 20 people out of 16k ticket boxes for listening to those shows this time
Unsurpised. TodayFM really has felt quite stale recently.
Looks like most of the weekday slots took a hit in the latest JNLR, gains at the weekends though.
Ian Dempsey (-6,000) Dave Moore (-5,000) Lousie Cantillon (-8,000) Ray Foley (-6,000) Matt Cooper (-10,000)

They appear to be making it an exclusively Dave run competition now.
Is she doing Music Master? I don't think it was on last week when whoever filled in for him was filling in for him.
Fùcking Quilty is headbutting the control panel here.
His actual show plus two separate recordings of his 5 O'Clock morning show. Little Mix, Adele, Taylor Swift, Quilty himself and a Dave Moore promo all airing at once.
From the bits I heard yesterday on the drive home it wasn't too bad, certainly better than some of the other replacement hosts they've used.
Alison Curtis in for Dave…….🚨
Mario in for Matt on the Last Word
Interesting
That was, at least, his second weekend covering Anton. Luke O'Neill did a couple too.
Really? That's interesting.
Have also given up on Dave's show and listen to other stations
Do you wash your legs in the shower?
And everyone Dave speaks to is a "legend."
I miss the Dermot and Dave show. Can't listen to Dave on his own at all.
dermot Whelan standing in for Anton Savage on Newstslk this morning. Great to hear him again, such a great presenter.
Yeah ive text a good few times looking for dance tracks that were big in the 90s and hasnt played them also too much prodigy.
So apparently TodayFM are launching Fledge Ceoil in Wexford today with Louise. According to Paula it started yesterday.
It actually started last Sunday…….🤔
No Music Master this morning?
I was driving today and I flicked over to today fm 3 times during KC and I heard the phone call from yesterday in full.
I don't listen much to today fm at all anymore but they really seem to ram this cash machine down your throat
I seem to remember them saying last week that it could roll over, and I thought how convenient it would be if it did, so that the jackpot could only get even bigger. But this week it was a guaranteed win.
Well, it wasn't won last Friday, and from what Dave was saying this morning, he was implying it could carry over to next week if it isn't won this coming Friday, either. That could just have been DJ banter, but he certainly didn't say it must be won this Friday.
Is it not a must be won? I thought I heard them saying it was on Spin at the weekend
There must be a lot of people on holidays. The "big" Cash Machine last Friday (€150k) wasn't won, and they didn't do the "we'll keep calling until there's a winner" thing. The rollover to next Friday is only bumping it up to €200k, so €10k/day added instead of the usual > €15k. And no "must be won" next Friday, either.
There seems to be a normal edit and then a super edit that played when I posted this. Thankfully they've resorted to the standard normal edit as default
Yeah, I do wonder if there are certain (dance) music labels that they aren't licenced to play music from.
Dec seems sound and a decent presenter, but wonder if there's constraints on what he can/can't play.
I've been listening to Block Rockin Beats the past few months at found it great at the beginning. But Christ, it's very repetitive. Can Dec Pierce not expand the playlist? There must be loads of bangers out there we've not or rarely heard of in the past.
Yeah that was a wreck the head. The same happened the 80s show on Friday night, cut an hour short. Ridiculous, whoever thought it up is an idiot, as all it will do is piss off your actual Friday and Saturday night listeners.
