If he is confirming that, why is it necessary to say in the prelude… "as reported and witnessed by the whole world…"
There's nothing in there confirming Trump's wound was from a bullet. He seems to have assumed the wound was from a bullet and treated the wound accordingly.

The article is talking about "recent weeks", and explains that the increased protection was in place at the rally.

I would take anything coming from Ron Johnson with a shedload of salt. One of the biggest partisan hacks in the Senate, second only to a few like Lindsay Graham and Mitch McConnel.
Him trying to dramatize a one man investigation reeks of said partisan hackery. Remember these are the same people who bemoaned the January 6 investigation because so many Republicans declined to even be on the panel, he's running an investigation with no panel or subcommittee now? lol.

well I tuned in and watched Pete sessions ask her questions that she either a) answered or b) was talked over by sessions grandstanding the second she would open her mouth to answer a question he asked, apparently rhetorically, so without looking at this more at work, she isn’t not answering “any” questions, FTR, but I can’t dispute that it’s a car crash or not I don’t have the time to watch more this morning but I’m sure the soundbytes will make the headlines and YouTube shorts which seems to be what republicans are fishing for here today (and to their advantage the water is chummed up for a change)
I am watching the hearing now only saw about 15 minutes. America is an odd place politically/mindset.
Two Congress members of colour (as they say) tried to shoehorn racism as the reason for the attempt on Trump. As white men are not viewed as a threat etc.
Secret Service Director Cheatle refuses to answer questions directly, and refuses to resign. Another congress woman referenced that it is like Slim Shady's song "It wasn't me"
It is definitely going to be a film in 20 years time.

It wouldn’t surprise me that you’d find anything Rep Luna says to be grounded in reality.

Earlier commentary seemed closer to right than I initially would have believed (with apologies to that user): the director is extremely reluctant to give a straight answer to the overwhelming majority of questions.
I've been coming across people who actually believe this was an inside job, instigated by the Trump campaign.
It would have required the involvement of the USSS, the young shooter, the Trump campaign all of whom would have had to come up with a scheme to shoot the former President in the head, to wound him tho….not kill him…and get him on board as well.
That is outrageous!!
The most messed up aspect of all this, is that the most obvious theory is that it was an inside job. That would explain how little we know about the shooter, and how he managed to pull off a shooting from the best possible vantage point, and that that vantage point was unpoliced, and that that shooter had attracted the attention of a number of officials all of whom lost track of him, until he fired off 7/8 shots.
I really do not want to believe that America is that f##ked up…but it is the most obvious theory. I'm still leaning on the incompetence angle, and if you have seen the Director of the Secret Service it's not hard to see how incompetent she is, but it's also hard to ignore that she seems to be acting in a fairly unusual manner. The reputation of the Secret Service is in the toilet.
Ok - so - on first principles you are going wrong - some say there was no direct hit on his ear - but it was a red sauce packet he squeezed on cue at the right moment.
