Being a celebrity doesn't bother me once they are good at the new job. Which they won't be. I seen a clip of a Polish mep ripping up green deal and migration pact. Whether she achieved anything or not long term is debatable but she has a good clip to show voters. They only clips I seen were claire and mick in Russia. Maybe it's just in Irish people's nature to shrink into the background and not cause a scene
Tbh it says more about the voters than it does about a rose of tralee winner & a former jockey being elected as an MEP.
Some credence or logic to it if they stood for local elections to start of with but MEP.....sure the give it a lash...I might just get voted in😁
If they start off wild from the outset as a young calf then there generally always a lunatic in my experience. As to whether it's a genetic throwback or whatever I don't know but that's usually how they turn out.
A neighbour had a calf with spastic paralysis a few years back and he was borderline mentally deranged from day 1, long before the paralysis took much effect on him. He was out of a quiet cow going back to friesian genetics so he didn't get it from there. The calf was calved outside and was born a few hours before his owner discovered them. It was actually the cow he spotted first, seen the cleanings hanging out of her and a slack looking elder so went in search of a calf lying somewhere nearby in the rushes. He nearly stood on him before he noticed the calf lying asleep full of milk. Upon his first encounter with humans he said the calf leapt up, roared and took off straight through a whitethorn hedge into the next field. The man told me he knew that fella would be a wild bastard forever more and right he was.
You know you're in trouble when they do that deranged bawl. Calving paddock is fenced with sheepwire here for a good reason. They can't get through it
That bawl actually is the bovine equivalent of...
If they get a fright when they are young they never settle... wilde calves are very troublesome and are more endange of hurting you than a big animal as they will jump straight through you to get away...
….
America is getting more FUBAR by the day, or maybe it always was.
Anyone have a spare ticket for tomorrow? I can't get one.

Hope the link works. All ahead of you @Siamsa Sessions
Class looking moon out tonight
Just found out feeding comfrey to dairy cows was a thing in the summer time in Germany and Japan.
Not sure how you'd market a factoid like that if selling milk.
Anyway..
Hope you get sorted Patsy, there seemed to be a few changing hands this evening.
I know that man to see him. Thankfully mine won’t ever be out on the road. Unless they break out 😂
What make of mulcher have you got?
Clontrac.
No, I didn't go in the end. 3 of my brothers went alright but they just managed to get them. I can't complain really as I'm not a paid up member of the local club. Still I bet there will be some there today and this will be their first hurling game of the year. It would put you off going to games altogether.
Had a few pints last night for a cousin’s 50th. General conclusions from various discussions below:
I bailed out around 10.30 when I felt myself going over quota. Head not great today but a few pints in the pub with a few lads is a real tonic
I have a soft spot for Clare as well. I used to work with a girl from Clare during their 2 wins in the 90's. There was some excitement around the office in those days.
Worth a watch on BBC2 for a new perspective
Nice to see the Clare team showing respect fir the Nationsl Anthem - not leaping about
Cork fans are some arse holes. The booing when Aidan McCarthy was hitting that 1st free was pure pr1ckish.
BBC excellent exciting commentary, will stick with them for 2nd half
A bit of good news for farmers -
Oh Tony Kelly....you beauty, what a goal
Come on cork.
super game
Great game. Clare should have pushed on and won it in the 70 though.
Watching some of it on bbc2. In fairness their coverage is great. And its great to show off what a great sport hurling is
